You need to reset the contents of the flash eeprom that stores values like the password, serial number, MAC address and OEM numbers. This can often be acheived by removing and replacing the CMOS battery, which is (usually) located on the motherboard. You may have to disassemble the laptop to get at it.
I checked on the toshiba website. The model name is Portege and the model number is 3500. There are only 2 models of this laptop the other one has the model number 3505.

you will have to get in touch with toshiba themselfs with the serial numbers from the back of your laptop. there should help you from there, I dont think there do have a default password, but do get in touch with toshiba. or read your namanual what came with the laptop.
Normally serial numbers are only found on the manufacturer tag on the laptop or the tag on the box it came in. Take a photo of the laptop or cut/copy the tag from the box. Suggest you keep a copy of all submissions in case they lose it.
