I have a hoover windtunnel bagless that the filter fell out of on accident when I was trying to dump it and I can't figure out how to put it back in

Hi, You don't say which model windtunnel you have but most are the same. The canister is in two sections with a Hoover emblem to the right of the handle. this is the side the filter goes on. The bracket slides out and holds the round filter, the round filter snaps into the bracket so that the end of the filter with the opening goes down to fit the hole in the bottom of the canister. When putting the canister back in the vacuum be sure the top goes back flat on the canister and the locking lever is open all the way. You have to slide the canister back in level and then it will drop down into position you can't tilt it. now you can lock it. Good Luck!

Belt

Hi.

Your Dyson will probably have A clutch unit this engages the brush roller when you pull the handle back to vacuum.

Check the clutch control knob which is at the bottom left front side of machine looking from the front & rotates to drive position when handle is pulled back.

If it doesnt turn the knob by hand to drive.

If you still have no brush rotation after doing all this then either the clutch is faulty or the second belt which goes clutch to motor has snapped & will need replacing.

Self propel will go foward, but will not reverse. Seems like handle is all the way extended.

There is a cable that connects to the handle and goes down to the powerdrive transmission. It is visible at the actuator arm on the drive if you look at the bottom of the handle where it pivots on the main housing. It will be on the right hand side, front corner of the handle bottom. You should be able to see the cable connected to the arm of the drive and will move back and forth with the top handle. Sometimes, they break at this connection. The cable may be frayed and broken, or the acuator arm may be broken where the cable connects.
This could also be a simple worn belt problem. The roller is always rotating in a direction that pulls the machine forward and if the belt is worn, the roller will turn sluggishly but still enough to pull forward, but the belt also drives the transmission and a worn belt will not have the capacity to overcome the forces involved to propel the machine backwards. Always change the belt(s) yearly.(on average)

Electrolux contour 1100 flexihead. Z1436

You need to unscrew the screw at the back / base of the handle. The whole handle section will need to be slid backwards. Best way is to unscrew the screw on the rear approx 5 turns and then bump the end of the screwdriver. A few more turns then bump the end of the screwdriver again. The whole handle will eventually slide backwards and fall off. Then unscrew the two screws at the front (near switch) and the front switch cover plate will lift up (hinging at the top). This reveals the incoming wires etc.
