RDJagger is correct.
Sometimes the memory can hold the machine back from completing a job. Try unpluggging the machine for at least 30 seconds, and then re-supply power.

But, if it is feeding 1 sheet, There may be a small wad of paper near the feeder itself. Most modern printers and a removable paper tray, search in there towards the back for any little pieces of paper. Additionally, try removing the back panel by the spooler and see if there is a small jam there. Use a paperclip to pick the seams if need be.

Paper jam 2 but no paper is stuck

Most printers/faxes need more than one or two sheets of paper in the hopper in order for printing to commence. If it's not that, take out all paper. Turn off the printer/fax. Wait five minutes and turn printer/fax back on. With some printers/faxes, that almost acts like a re-boot. Good luck!

Epson sx235w paper jam error-there is no paper jam!!!!

I have had this exact problem this morning with Epson SX235W.
4 from the end of a print run the feeder grinded to a holt.
I removed paper switched off machine checked for jam but every time I turned it on it span the feed rollers for a few seconds and came back with the error. I tried everything I could find on Google and after 2 hours its was still the same . by now I was sure that this was mechanical failure. In a last ditch attempt I used good old brute force and pushed a thick piece of card through the feed whilst it was turning on . HA !! Jam light goes out, printer works . 3 sheets later I find a very old/inky rubber band has been pushed out with the paper. must have been in there for ages before becoming a problem.
Moral is - there is almost definnatly someting stuck, even if you cant see it.

Canon ip1800 is experiencing paper jam.whener tries to print, cannot feed the paper properly

Sometimes a printer just needs some cleaning.

Remove the jammed paper following the procedure below. (1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the Paper Output Slot, whichever is easier. If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the printer, turn the printer off, open the Front Cover, and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the printer. After removing all paper, close the Front Cover and turn it back on.If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the printer off and turn it back on. The paper will be ejected automatically. (2) Reload the paper in the printer, and press the RESUME/CANCEL button on the printer. If you turned off the printer in step 1, all print jobs in queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.
Make sure to clean the paper feed rollers if paper is not fed properly. Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder consumes it, so perform this only when necessary. 1. Make sure that the printer is turned on, and then remove any paper from the Auto Sheet Feeder. 2. Open the Printer Properties dialog box. 3. Click the Maintenance tab and then Roller Cleaning. 4. Confirm the message, and then click OK.The Paper Feed Rollers will rotate as they clean. 5. When the message appears, load three or more sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder.Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left. 6. Confirm the displayed message and click OK.The paper that is loaded in the printer will feed through the printer and be ejected. 7. When the confirmation message is displayed, click OK. If this procedure does not solve the problem, clean the surface of the roller with applying a slightly moisten cotton swab with water to wipe off dust or stain.
If the problem still persists, contact a Canon service representative.

Cartrige won't move

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Cup of distilled water
  • Clean wash cloth
    Fixing The Printer Cartridge
  1. Shut down the HP 6480 by pressing the "On/Off" button on the right side of the control panel. Some paper jams will clear themselves just by turning the printer off and starting it again. Wait a few minutes after the printer has shut down and then turn it on again.
  2. Remove the paper feed tray. If the printer does not clear the paper jam by itself, shut off the device again. Be sure to pull the tray out gently to avoid damaging the device.
  3. Lift up the automatic document feeder. The feeder makes up the top half of printer, and it can be opened like the hood of a car. Lift the sides of it slowly. This exposes the printer mechanism and ink cartridges. Pull the jammed paper up and out of the printer mechanism with both hands. Pull it gently to ensure you don't damage any components.

  4. After removing the paper, clean off the cylindrical, silver printer roller. Dampen a clean cloth with distilled water, and gently wipe any dirt, ink or paper off the roller. Rotate it when you're done cleaning one side, and continue rotating and cleaning until the roller is clean on all sides.
  5. Close the automatic printer feeder. After removing all paper, close the top printer feeder and shake it to ensure it's fastened. Re-attach the printer tray by lining it up with the arrow markers on both sides of the printer.
  6. Put one sheet of paper into the printer tray, and reset the HP 6480 by pressing and holding the "On/Off" button for 15 seconds. The printer should automatically restart and return to factory settings. It will run diagnostics and the printer cartridges should begin moving again as they print a test sheet.

Laser printer manual feed jam

like the name goes, it is manual. You will have to feed the papers one after the other. if you do not want that, then load the papers into the automatic tray if you have one.
Incase none of the above works it means the roller that is suppose to pick the papers finds it hard to pass papers on to the other which you will have to replace.
good luck

Dr 5010c feeds one to five sheets, then stops

Clean the rubber rollers (pickup and ******) with a damp cloth, loosen the papers to be scanned. Clean all the rollers in the scanning path. What is the eror that is displayed? Download the user manual from this site http://www.usa.canon.com/opd/controller?act=OPDSoftwareAct&fcategoryid=2341&modelid=11293 (5010um.pdf). Change the rollers if they are old.

Machine thinks there's a paper jam

ok what you have done is when you have pulled the paper jam out you have either still have a small piece of paper over the sensor or you have broken the sensor itself it sounds like the later, most people tend to pull out the paper backwards against the feed rollers and sensors just below the feed rollers and it causes the sensor to fall out or break i have seen this so many times,

Won't feed paper

ok, you will have to preform a hard reset by unplugging this printer and let stand for five minutes. plug back in the socket after this period and restart the unit. if the problem persist, you will need to download the new drivers and firmware on the manufactures website.
