You can always make a plug. Get a piece of clear vinyl tubing about 1 inch long. The inner diameter of the tube should be the same size or just a bit wider then the width of the mattress plug your missing. Get a small tube of clear silicone rubber (make sure its pure silicone rubber) and completely fill the vinyl tube. Let it sit for 4 or 5 days to completely dry. Cut off the vinyl and your new plug emerges! Use your scissors to cut the tip at an angle so its easier to get it into the mattress tube.

How do I change the power cord on my Filter Queen vacuum cleaner?

First, remove the top filter cap. quarter turn.
Remove the three screws from under said cap.
The rubber switch cover will come off of the on/off switch pedal there. pull off and set aside.
undo the two clamps and remove the motor (chrome) section from the base.
give the handle a tug and the chrome cap should now come off and allow you access to the wiring and motor/switch.

optional side note: at this point you may want to replace the sponge filter around the motor too.

Remove the cord from the unit and rewire to the same spots the old cord comes out of.
reverse the instructions to put the machine back together.

I just purchased a tune up kit for my filter queen, how do I replace the dome cap pad? I can see it but I dont know how to get to it.

I was trying to replace the silencer filter, we had to take the dome cap off and remove the screws by the sn plate then lift the top off. It looks like the motor has been replaced at some point (I purchased this one used) so the wires had wire nuts holding them together. We had to separate the wires for the light so we could remove the old filter and install the new one.

FQ95x...motor gets very hot very fast

It sounds like you have a blockage either in your hose or the carpet sweeper. Try dropping a coin through the hose. If it comes out then check the sweeper.

  4. Remove 3 screws from SN plate then remove plate.
