Either you get a memory card with greater storage or you lower the picture resolution on your camera so as to get more pics on your existing card.

Memory full

If you are using the memory that came in your camera, and you do not have an accessory SD memory card installed, your camera's built in memory will fill up quickly because it has a very small capacity. If you have an SD memory card, it may be a small card with limited capacity. SC and SDSC memory cards are available with 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256 Gb capacity. Of course, the higher the capacity and the faster the card, the more you will pay. For most amateur applications 16 or 32 Gb should be sufficient. Optionally you could set your camera to take lower resolution pictures. That will increase the number of pictures your memory will accommodate, but there is a price; picture quality.

It keeps saying memory card is full. Bought a new memory card and put in and it still says the card is full.

Are you sure that isn't "internal" memory card is full message?

Sometimes, when "internal memory card is full" there is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the picture size setting you have selected on your camera. Keep in mind that the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed (auto default).

If really, the problem is in the "SD memory card", I suggest make some backup all files and reformat the SD. Try formatting it in the camera, there should be a process in your owners manual for doing this; donw formatted SD in your computer, isn't good.

Hope helps.

I took about 4 pictures and my camera is saying memory full im guessing something is wrong with the memory card? Do i need to get a new one

Hello,
If is the memory card that came with it, it is most certainly of a small capacity: 16 or 32 MB. If you did not buy a higher capacity card then that is the reason memory is full.

Hope it helps

My internal memory is full and I can't take picturs.

Put a card in this camera, and copy from the internal memory to the card all the pictures.

Most cameras have an internal menu to allow you to transfer or copy all files to the SD card (if you can copy the files, then copy them and delete all internal files after copy).
This digital camera has an internal memory of 16 megabytes which is a lot. But if the memory is full, it has to be copied, or delete some pictures.

How to transfer Nikon Coolpix camera pictures to memory card?

Make sure you have an SD memory card inserted and your camera is on. Press the Play button to view your images. Now press menu and scroll down to the copy feature. You have two options, copy from camera to memory card is on top, and from memory card to camera is on the bottom.  Once you select your option, choose your pictures and copy.

Regards,
Lardzor.

Using Internal Memory...now says memory full, no image!

I own the same camera, Not sure about no pictures showing in the memory but you can get a 2 gig memory card for around $20 in stores or around $15 or $16 on ebay, holds over 700 pictures at the highest resolution. Also try to download your pictures to your computer if you haven't already. Hope this helps.
