2007 shadow saber fan fuse keeps blowing?

is it only blowing the fuse when the fan is turned on. if it is then the motor may have gone..... if not the fan turn off all mains leaving the lighting on. and turn on lights one by one. if this does not blow the fuse. turn on as meany lights as you can until it blows. if it does this then the fuse or the trip switch is faulty and will need to be replaced. but if it does it only with the fan light or using the fan then the motor will be at fault. could be the fan starter c66 part or the motor its self.

Disconnect the fan motor and see if the fuse still blows, if it doesn't you may have found the problem and the fan needs to be rep[laced a 30 minute job just a few bolts..

If there has been any modifications to the wiring, extra lighting, etc., the fuse may be too small. If you can manipulate the wiring where it has been twisting for more than 10 years, you might find the issue. Look where the wiring comes off the handlebars and goes through the front of the frame.

The fan motor can be going bad. BUT, check the wiring to the fan along the frame for rubs or brake in the insulation and check the plug for a burnt connection. Any loose connection can cause enough heat to blow the fuse. Check all this. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

Do you mean the fan fuse? I ask because relay's don't just "blow" . If it is in fact the fuse that is blowing... with the car off and fan off try turning the blade. If it's very difficult to turn, then yes your problem is in the fan motor. If it's not difficult to turn it could still have a problem and be pulling too many amps. You can hook up an ammeter in line to the fan and see how much amps the fan is taking. If it's close to the amperage rating on the fuse it is likely the cause of the fuse blowing.

Did you lube all your pivot points & linkage joints while you were at it, if not, that may help. Spray some lube at arm where it pivots near base as well. Are you sure they are the proper size blades, as in someone didn't decide to install bigger or double bladed or similar by chance did they, which would cause more load on motor.

the relays will not cause fuses to blow. you have a problem with the fan motor itself. replace that it should take care of your problem.
