If you have not already done so, clean the filter behind the panel in the front bottom of the washer. Remove the three philips head screws to get the panel off. Unscrew the plastic filter on the right hand side (use a shallow cake pan to catch any water). Remove the filter and clean out the pens, pencils, change, lint, etc... and put back in. All should work well after this. Thanks, Greg

SOURCE: moldy smell inside GE profle top loader washer
Check the pump and make sure that it is draining the water. There will always be a little water left over but you should never be able to hear it very easily. Once you check the pump and make sure it is operating properly check the water sensor to make sure that it is acuratly reading the water hieght. After that take one cup of Vinegar and run a hot load of water will kill the mold and clean your system out

We had same problem. The pump was all clogged up with fabric debris, and a part of a metal bra liner. I removed the pump and cleaned it out. Now it seems to work fine, and went through a complete cycle. Ther pump was accessed from the front, and was not too hard to remove.
SOURCE: GE Profile front loader washing machine is leaking
Hello, this is usually the door seal, most machine incorporate a one piece combined door seal and outer drum seal(often just called a DOOR GASKET), the door seal are put in on the front panel first in the factory, then the drum assembly is put in and the seal pushed over the outer drum. This means a lot of stripping down has to be done just to replace the drum to the door seal.
Thanks
