Mita all copies have clean, thin, black streaks

We have an somewhat older mita copier (don't ask about the model number. I don't know.). All copies have clean, thin, black streaks running vertically. these lines somewhat change as you run more copies, but they stay in the space ~2 inches from the center. My reading seems to have led me to either the wiper or the fuser. any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick reply. I will definitely clean the fuser assembly tomorrow. I will also pop off the top cover and take a quick look at the lens, and most likely take some windex to it. I should also have the model number then, if it would make any difference. Also,I don't think this particular copier has ever had any maintenance done except for adding toner.

Needs a clean around the fuser area. You may see a build up of toner near the rollers which is being drawn in. There's an outside chance that the lens needs cleaning also.

How do I clean spilled toner from the inside of a Kyocera mita copier?

Try using a small soft brush to brush it off while using a good hepa filter vacuum to remove the toner at the same time. Wear a good breathing mask to protect your lungs!

Kyocera Mita 5035

Go through the maintenance procedures in your manual. All cleaning should be done which probably includes roller cleaning but you should run it through all the procedures.

Kyocera Mita 2050 there are streaks of toner appearing on the pages printed.

If you send a print job or print a report from the copier and there is no streaks then the problem is most likely the thin **** glass to the left of the large glass. It just needs to be claened.

If the streaks are happening when printing and copying then the problem is most likely your drum unit (MK-410) or possibly the fixing unit (FU-410), the fixing unit is the one that gets hot.

As the drum gets old it can cause print/copy issues and the cleaning blade that cleans the drum gets to the point it doesn't clean the drum properly causing streaks.

The heat roller has a teflon coating on it and as the roller gets older the teflon starts to come off and can effect prints/copies.

The drum unit should be replaced every 150,000 pages and the fixing unit every 300,000 pages on the KM-2050.

I hope this is helpful,
Shawn

COPIER GIVES TWO UNWANTED PARALLEL LINES

this sounds like either fuser wera or drum wear if you open the side door and look at the fuser section this is at the top and you should be able to see two rollers on orange one black look were the guide fingers are you may see wear lines on the surface usually looks like alloy which is under the coating.. if not seen here it could be the drum worn..if the lines are from copying check the glass plate both thin glass and the main glass. if you look under the glass at the mirrors you may see some dirt or dust.. this can be cleaned

Kyocera mita maintenance light is on and lines

check the rectangular **** glas and table for any white out or particles... clean thoroughly... make copies... clean again... make copies... if same issue... then replace drum... but in most cases its the optics... which I advised you to clean thats causing the issue... if the issue occurs when you print an internal report then its definitely drum... if reports are clear... there is something on the glass... or on the part above it... even a little bit of black toner or ink or whiteout anywhere out there can cause a line
