Need schematic Amana frig SQD25VW-P1314202WW

Hello Ron Carlson

Pretty straight forward refrigerator!

Although I agree with the first answer you got from Todd Marr...a lot of available volunteers here have been around a lot of blocks...
Can call out the Whirlpool & Frigidaire units you share parts with... and how to very cheaply you can
test various parts to bring you to your very quick victory...

I'm just saying, ice-maker, defrost issues, warm refrigerator side... Fast frost build-up... puddles?

If you'll pardon the pun ...
FROST FREE REFIGERATOR/FREEZERS are pretty cool...!

My coils in the bottom rear of the freezer keep freezing up like every month - which causes the air flow to the top fridge area to not work. I have to keep unplugging and blow drying the ice to melt it...

The problem is it is not going through a defrost cycle. with out model number i don't know if it is a board or a defrost timer that starts the defrost cycle, but three things can cause it not to defrost. One defrost timer, two defrost heater bad and three defrost termination switch bad. If it has a defrost timer on it you can find it in three spots either in the back of the unit, the front bottom or in the frig next to the thermostat. there will be a spot where you can insert a screw driver and turn it clock wise until the frig turns off and at that point it should be in a defrost as long as the defrost heater is working it will melt the ice. If it does work then the defrost timer needs to be replaced. if you are not sure then call a service company to check it out no matter what this is cheaper than a new frig. Refrigerators are a sealed system on the refrigerant side and dose not loose refrigerant unless it has a freon leak which it would not cool even withe all the ice melted. If you are turning unit odd and letting the ice melt and turning it back on and it cools for a few days then it is not going through a defrost cycle.

I think defrost timer frig doesnt cool enough and freezer frost up

I think you are having a defrost problem that could be related to a defective defrost timer, adaptive defrost control board, defrost heater or defrost thermostat. Can you post the model number of your refrigerator found around the fresh food section door frame? This is to insure I can point you to the correct parts. All I know is that you have a Whirlpool Refrigerator and these models all have different different parts for the defrost. Thanks Sea Breeze

Bad defrost timer

The defrost timer is bad when the frig goes into defrost and stays off the frig should restart if you turn the timer, the frig will run fine until the timer cycles back to defrost then the frig will not restart. If this is what happens, replace timer and your problems are solved.

Should I just junk this frig? We turned frig off manual defrosted and cleaned out plugged up line from freezer to frig. Frig and freezer worked fine for one month and then the same problem has happened...

Hi this probably has a bad defrost thermostat, its only a $10-15 part its located in the freezer behind the rear panel. Would need to be totally defrosted beore you changed it and usually requires a bit of wiring but nothing complicated just need to be handy with wire strippers.

Warm frig cold freezer

is the fan running in the freezer? most likely the evaporator coil is frozen over. is there frost build-up on back freezer wall. what is the model #? could be the defrost timer, heater element or the defrost terminator.

Freezer works but frig not cold.

Probably a defrost problem. See if there is any frost inside the freezer. If yes, then it probably is the defrost timer. If the unit does not use a timer, it could be the adaptive defrost control. Might also be the defrost heater or defrost termination thermostat, but I would doubt that on a Whirlpool

Ice forms in back of frig - fan runs - temp goes up, frig does not cool. Now temp light is flashing "88"

The evaporator is probably frozen up so it cannot get the air to go threw it. Either the defrost termination thermostat or the defrost heater element is defective. Without a proper model number, it could also be the defrost timer. Best of to call a certified repair company such as Sears.
