To be honest, I would send back to Columbia. Water resistant watches are not only tricky, but you risk losing the warranty on your watch as well.
I would go to link and follow instructions:
Instructions can be obtained by going to the Columbia web site "columbia.com".
Insert "watches" in the search box (top right) and the next page shows a watch with the title "timing" and underneath in says "PDF instruction manual for watches"
Click on this and a list of diagrams for the watches appears. Choose the one that is for your watch and down load.
I have a new CL5074 Columbia watch from the Columbia outlet. IT did not come with a manual. IT appears as if it has a pulse monitor. How do I use this?
To set your Columbia- Hold down the set button until the display flashes. You can then use the mode button to cycle through the display features and set them. Use the strt/stp and reset to adjust fields.
For owners manual you will need to contact Columbia. Contact Columbia
