The only way to reset something like this is to remove batteries for a bit. Once all capacitance charge is spent, probably 30 seconds at most, units will be at factory settings. I doubt that this will work on a headset, but it is all I got. Take the headset back for warranty.

It only picks up certain digital rings. I changed the ringer on my phone and had the same problem. To fix it, I had to plug in the little microphone that plugs into the handset lifter and place the mic over the ringer speaker. Now it works fine.

Setup the Plantronics CS60 wireless headset as follows:
To be able to hear or speak through the handset,
either place the headset back into its charging cradle or press the
call control button on the side of the headset. The talk indicator
light on the base should go off and no sound will come through the
headset.
Note: Make sure that the cables are connected correctly and the handset cable is connected to the base of the CS60 base.

very simple...hold the call button and the play/pause button while startin the unit up...the led will blink blue thrice and will continuously stay on confirming the reset mode...u can now view the headset as AV890 on ur phone or pc....the code is 0000...confirm it and the connection is authenticated...done...q.e.d
