Phonic k-12 powered mixer Nothing happens when I press the power

Ramesh - Just a quick thought (may be way off beam..) dynamic or condenser mic's ? If condenser - did you use the phantom power switch? (right next to the main 'on' switch around the back)

You would connect the xlr left and right outputs to a power amplifier and then the speakers to the power amp. The mixer will not drive a set of speakers by itself.

The most likely cause is a blown fuse and fuses are cheap. I would replace the fuse and try it again. The fuse may be hard to find so I would take the fuse and try Radio Shack Fry's or any where known for electronics. If it's not the fuse it could be the power cord you could try any computer power cord to check that. If it's not any of that you could take it apart and look for the problem. I can walk you through the basics if you want.

You will plug an UNBALANCED 1/4 inplug cable into the MONI jack on the front of the unit. The other end will probably need to be an XLR plug to connect to the Kustom POWERED monitor. Please note that the UNBALANCED output of the Phonic is NOT good engineering practice. The Phonic stuff is normally low-end and they don't do everything correctely, although for a small system it should work. IF you get excessive hum from using a long cable to the Kustom with a "Kludged" unbalanced to balanced cable, you MAY need to use a DI box at the Phonic end to convert the unbalanced Phonic MONI output to a balanced line (XLR to XLR) for a longer run to the Kustom monitor. You might get a 1/4 inch TS to XLR balanced plug that has a transformer in it and use an XLR to XLR cable to the Kustom. Please note that having this plug in the Phonic hangs out and is easily bent over so I would recommend using a right angle connector at the Phonic and plug the 1/4 inch TS to XLR adaoter into that so the yanking of the XLR cable won't break the 1/4 inch adapter off in the Phonic.

I assume you are using CONDENSER microphones, as these are really the only ones that can use Phantom power. Also do NOT use any MONAURAL connections to MIC jacks while using Phantom power.

You don't specify which model Phonic mixer in question.
Is it a powered mixer ? And are you plugging your speakers into the speaker outputs ? If it's not a powered mixer and you're plugging speakers into the Line Outputs, you're not using a power amplifier between the line outputs and your speakers - this won't work.
If it is a powered mixer and you are plugging speakers into the speaker output connectors and still getting little or no sound, check your speaker cables and the speakers themselves by plugging them into known good amps.
