SOURCE: No hot water, Rheem Model RR612T, Electric Hot Water Heater, 60 g

If you don't have current, 0v from terminal to terminal, then you don't have voltage to the elements. Replace the thermostat but check that you have 220v to the thermostat. It is possible that your breakers to the unit are either bad or tripped.

SOURCE: My Rheem hot water heater stopped putting out hot

If you are not familiar with the element, I would get someone that is familiar with one and have them do it. It's not something I would recommend you do based on your question. There's electrical, pressurized water tank, and a whole lot of water that may cause you to have a worse bad day.

SOURCE: Rheem 50 gallon gas water heater less than one

it could also be the dip tube. this is a tube that is installed at the time the unit is made.it is a plastic tube that is on the cold intake side of the hot water heater.it may have fallen inside the unit or may not be in the unit at all check to see if there is a plastic tube this will help the heater stay hotter for a longer period of time. good luck with your project.

SOURCE: My rheem water heater doesn't seem to be heating

try setting the bottom 10 degrees hoter than the top could be in short cycle (thatis the bottom calls for heat on the bottom element and set too close so goes back to top and cycles off

I have a rheem optima 315 single element. sometimes after a shower, the hot water cct breaker trips. unit did get low on water once when a pipe burst (am on tank water), and could hear water boiling, then...

It sounds like the element, which would generally be 4.8 KW for this size tank, may be faulty. Due to the incident mentioned it may have poor insulation resistance which causes a short circuit. I think you need to replace the element. If this is done by an electrician I would also get him to check the thermostat is okay.

Why is my Rheem water heater making a "hissing" noise?

It is boiling the water. Turn it down. Look on the side and remove the small cover to expose the thermostat Turn it counter clock wise to reduce heated water temp.
There may be two.
After an hour or so test the hot water and see if you can keep your hand in the flow of all hot water. If it
is so hot it will burn you it is still too hot. 170 is hot enough. That is slightly painful and will cook the skin

My electrid rheem hot water heater makes a loud pop sound after using hot water to fill bath tub . Why?

Hi,
The sound is the water heating through mineral buildup in the bottom of the tank...
The water gets superheated (boiling) because the mineral traps it aroung the element for too long....then it makes the noise as it percolates there....

Rheem warrior glass serial num-rh1098154699 model num-71-40d b That is all the information i collected off my hot water heater we have no hot water at all and i dont know how to fix this problem...

The label would also say if water heater is gas of electric.
That would be helpful information that could lead to troubleshooting.
Serial number tells us water heater was made on Nov 1998, which tells us the manual will not be on the Rheem website.

So if you have electric water heater, and no hot water.
There can be 4 causes.
1) Circuit breaker is not delivering 240 to water heater. Test top two screws on upper thermostat to see if tank has 240V.
2) ECO red reset button is tripped. Open top cover on tank and push reset button.
3) Upper thermostat is bad. Replace thermostat.

Rheem glas fury water heater rattling

Thermostat may be heating element hotter than normal causing a change in temperature causing the noise. You could try adjusting temp down a little on thermostat. It sounds like it's getting the water very hot and thermostat may not be working correctly.

Water heater sounds like its boiling and the water is cloudy and very hot

make sure the thermostat is pushed up tight to the tank and there is nothing between them. If all this is good replace the upper thermostat, make sure the new one is set between 110 and130 degrees. Make sure the temp. and pressure valve is working and not blocked up.
