How do i test usb port on bn68 monitor - Dell Computers & Internet

which USB are you referring to? if usb cable connection , try with a different cable, if USB port for flash drive, try usb port with another functional flash drive or test your flash drive onto another device to test for functionality.

DO MEAN USE AS COMPUTERS MONITOR A FRIEND DAS SO GIVE IT A TRY.

I have a 24" Dell monitor with built-in USB and SD sockets. Sometimes I have had problems with these not being responsive. This usually comes down to electrical connection.

You should do these in order, also testing for USB port availability at each step .
#1 is the monitor powered up? (USB is active only when monitor is switched on with power button on front of bezel)
#2 check that the USB cable at both ends is plugged in! (you need electrical connectivity)
#3 check that the USB port on the PC can see another device like a memory stick

#4 check your PC's software (drivers must be loaded and the USB port recognized)

be sure that you connect usb cable between pc usb port and monitor usb port and try its usb

Sometimes i know you have to plug in a usb from the monitor to the computer. If this is already done simply unplug that usb device and plug it into another usb slot on the computer itself. If this does not work try replacing the cable. If that does not work try testing by plugging in something on the computer to make sure the usb ports work and then try in monitor, if it doesnt work in the monitor then something went bad with the monitor. Check for warranty. Same with computer if it doesnt work.

The USB port on this monitor is just the USB hub than expands your PC USB port to the monitor (USB port of the PC will have to be connected to the USB in of the monitor). It is not a stand alone USB port.

Please check if the monitor's usb port is connected to the tower, the monitor only acts like a USB hub / junction. If it is connected then disconnect it from the existing USB port and connect it to a different USB port. Please refer to the monitor manual link given below

This monitor has 8-port USB hub that the USB input of the monitor must be connected to the PC USB port. There are fuses for the USB port also to protect the 5VDC output at the USB ports.

1) good USB cable from Monitor USB input port to PC USB port?

2) Check pin 1 of the USB port, you should have 5vdc.

3) Your monitor's USB ports are basically the powered USB hub, but it must be connected to the PC USB port.

It is basically 2-port USB powered HUB built into the monitor, did you hook up the USB cable from the monitor USB Input port to the USB port on the PC?
