I have New Home 104D, has been great little serger but suddenly stopped working. Foot pedal does nothing but light comes on. Foot controller is model TJC-150, same model as my sewing machine, I've tried to switch them but the have different attachment plugs & doIn't see a way to remove them. Is there a DIY Fix

check to see if any thread is jammed inside the right turning side wheel in the core area at times there can be thread that flies in there and may stop the main belt turning.
Hi, I have the exact same machine. it sounds like the wire from the foot pedal to the machine is broken. You would still get power from the wall to the machine to light the light, but no 'gas pedal'. You could maybe get an electrian to test the connection under the foot pedal and if the wire is damaged? or maybe the part that plugs in the machine is cracked or damaged? Good luck! Annette
When stepping on the foot control, does the motor hum or anything? Or is dead silent? If it sounds like it's trying to do something, the serger probably needs to be serviced. If it's silent, you probably need a new foot control.
it could be any one of several things. the cord may be damaged (most likely at the foot control end). the foot control may be damaged. the motor may be damaged (either brushes worn out or winding burnt out).
as high voltage is involved i recommend you have a tech check it for you.
