Fellowes Powershred DM15C Shredder Basket full indicator on

The basket is empty and start to shred and then stops because the bucket vibrates out just enough to trip the switch-- been like this almost since new. The only fix I have is to pull bascket out and then push back in. It is a pain if you have more then 1 doc to shred

How do I get top off to clear Paper Jam on Fellowes PS-12Cs

FELLOWES SHREDDER
In case of a paper jam , which may occur if the shredder is pushed beyond its specified capabilities, press the control switch to the off [O] position and empty the basket if full. Then:
1) Press and hold control switch in reverse [R] position and attempt to back paper out of shredder.
2) If shredder jams in reverse mode, press control switch to automatic [I] position and attempt to continue shredding operation.
3) If shredder jams again, alternate control switch slowly between reverse [R] and automatic [I] positions to attempt to move jammed paper completely through shredder.
If you are unable to clear the jam using this method, turn off and unplug the shredder; remove the wastebasket from cabinet and carefully remove any paper extending below the cutting cylinders; empty the wastebasket; insert wastebasket and repeat jam clearing procedure.

Fellows powershread keeps turning off - says bin is full when its empty

a known problem on these models. however, first make sure the sensors are clean and not covered with paper dust. they are located above top of basket with one on right and one on left side of basket. alos, if you have shredded paper hanging down, that will trigger sensors also. if everything looks good, you'll have to have sensors replaced.

Fellowes c-220c always full

there is usually a flap that leans into the paper tray and when it gets full the shreds push on this flap and activate a switch...
look for the flap and see if it bent or came off it's hinges.

look for two LED lights where paper falls into bin and wipe them off, but the sensors could be faulty as well. I have seen both.

I have a Fellows Powershred ps 60cc and removed the shredder top to empty the shredded documents. When I put it back on, the red light will not go out and it will no longer work. It was working perfectly...

the shredder has a safety switch that closes when the unit is put back on the basket. check under the cutter head for the hole that has the switch and check your basket for the acuator put together so they will line up

The empty basket light stays on all the time

Try cleaning the bin full sensors. located on both sides of your machine, inside the bin, under the cutter head. If that does not solve problem, you need to replace bin full sensors.

The "bin full" keeps on coming on

first off, fellowes has had problems with the bin full sensors that sometimes, can only be corrected by replacing them. however, there are two things to check. make sure it doesn't have a bunch of shredded paper hanging down from the cutters. that can trigger the bin light as the sensore are located under the head, but above basket. last, but not least, clean the sensors. they get paper dust on them after awhile causing same indication. if those two things don't fix it, it will have to have sensors replaced.

good luck,
razors
