SOURCE: Keys don't work at all

Make sure the wireless is working fine and has good batteries in them. Try reinstalling it and see if all lights go on the keyboard. If not there might be an interferance in the system and the keys are not computing well. Try number lock and caps lock

SOURCE: comfort curve keyboard 2000v1.0, key A does not respond

Mine does the same thing only sometimes the keys work, then hours later they decide to stop working.

It's a pain in the **** but if you take out all the screws, take the top cover off then put it back on, for some reason the keys start working again.

The problem will come back though. I'm considering keeping the screws out so I can just pop it apart whenever the keys stop working again.

SOURCE: Water Damage

I'm on my 4th Microsoft Ergo 4000 keyboard. All the previous 3 of them have been junked by none other than spilt water (not hot and not very cold), thanks to my 3 yr old daughter. I've tried taking the keyboard apart, blow drying and putting it back together. Doesn't seem to work. Junking seems the only option and I'm not pleased to say the least (now that they're at $70 at Best Buy)... I'm astounded that they are so succumbale to split water (leave alone other liquids)... A deliberate flaw to ensure repeat buys?

SOURCE: How to use the function keys on the wireless keyboard 1.1?

Follow these steps:

  1. Run an AHK script. Make sure this script uses the keyboard hook (#InstallKeybdHook).
  2. Right-click on the tray icon and select Open.
  3. A window will appear. In the menubar, select View >> Key history and script info
  4. You will see a list of the last twenty key events (and mouse events, if the mouse hook is installed), including their virtual key numbers and scancodes. Pressing F5 will refresh this list.
  5. Anything that you can see in this list can be captured and/or reproduced in AutoHotkey. However, not everything can be seen here. So, to test, press the key, F Lock in this case, and then press F5 to refresh the list. If AutoHotkey couldn't see the key, the list will be unchanged except for the F5 key you just pressed. If it could, though, it will be the last key on the list (excluding F5).

Keyboard not responding. just bought it today.. i've check everything, battery, drivers and receiver are all ok.

After six months of using the same keyboard / mouse combo with no problems, I had exactly the same problem as you one day (keyboard wouldn't connect, but mouse OK), I resolved it by powering down the mouse (hold the 'connect' button) and then sync-ing the keyboard using the USB key. When I powered the mouse up again, both pieces of equipment worked fine again. Hope this helps.

Space bar is not working, all other keys are working fine.

if the keyboard is too old and if you have used it a lot, then ou have to replace the keyboard. The space bar alone had gone.

How to remove the Keyboard on a MPC laptop T3200

Use a flat screwdriver and pry up in three spots on lower edge of keyboard. There is one indent between the ctrl key and windows key., one center of space bar, and one below down arrow key. Pry up gently in these three spots and lift up keyboard. To install just fit the tabs at the top of the keyboard into their slots and press down on the lower part of the keyboard.

Print screen key doesnt work

try the print screen key on their computer keyboard. This will usually take the screen shot and place it into the computer clipboard. Once in the clipboard, a user can almost always paste that screen shot into a graphic program.
Then go to start, run, type in clipbrd and then hit enter.

My wireless keyboard stopped working it is a A4tech RFKB-21

The first thing you should try is unplugging the wireless adapter and plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the wireless driver (from the device manager. You can find the device manager in the control panel), unplugging the keyboard first of course. After the driver has been installed, plug the keyboard back in and allow the windows 'found new hardware' to install the driver again. The 'found new hardware' dialog is automatic, so all you have to do is plug the keyboard in.

If windows cant find the driver, or has a problem for any reason, you can find your driver at:

http://www.findmysoft.com/drivers/A4tech-RFKB-5-Wireless-Keyboard-driver.html

and install it manually (it installs like any other software).

If your keyboard is still not working, check for any manual locks that might prevent the keyboard from being used normally. Look for an unrecognized key, a switch, or an LED light that might have a picture of a lock. Unfortunately, I can't pull up any pictures of your keyboard, so I don't know if it has one or not.

You might also want to try another usb device (a flash drive or another usb keyboard, if you have one) to make sure that the usb ports aren't the culprits.

I hope this helps, and good luck!
