I have a Hoover power scrub deluxe shampooer and the shampoo does not come out when the dial is on the wash., how can I fix this?

Usually, in the course of use, if it not THOROUGHLY sprayed out with pressure (like a good water hose nozzle) each and every time, dirt and grime build up and dry up, caking up the passageways. This is the most common ailment w/most all shampooers.

Using my hoover steam vac tonight and too much water coming out. once it's turned on, water and shampoo continuously come out underneath until tanks are empty. looks to be leaking from left side bottom as...

make sure that you have filled everthing properly and the hoover steam is in a good condition. or check else is there any loose coonections in the bottom of the hoover, which makes the tank empty.
if the problem persists take it to service.

It is not dispensing the shampoo on to the carpet.

Hi,

Firstly, please ensure that there is shampoo in the tank and the tank is correctly and fully inserted. There are 2 ways to dispense shampoo on to the carpet:

1. Use the solution trigger on the underside of the handle (numbered 2 in the picture below)
2. For tough stains use the "Clean Surge" button to dispense extra shampoo (numbered 3 in the picture below

A solution to many "non-spray" problems.

The Scotchguard is going to be dicey inside the Bissell, yes, as you have learned the hard way.

I think the Bissell and the Hoover shampoos sold for their carpet cleaning machines are reasonably safe to use in the Bissell. My own personal favorite for use with the Bissell is the Hoover Premium Pet Formula, which is pricey but effective even if you don't own pets. I also pre-treat stained areas with Resolve Carpet Cleaner, a few minutes before using the Bissell.

I don't know what will happen with your home brew containing Dove. It may work well.

Water and shampoo run out with the trigger in the off position

From your description, you have a problem with your one of the solenoids that may be stuck open. this would require a shop repair.

Soap

It is recommended that you use Hoover soap. You can use other soap that states it okay with hoovers.

Hoover™ SpinScrub™ SteamVac has a department for shampoo. My shampoo leaks out of the bottom and will not stay in for me to do my floors. Can this be fixed?

Check the valve at the bottom of the tank, Check for cracks around where the valev is at the bottom of the tank, if cracked, replace the tank. With the tank off, can you see the rod in the handle move up and down when you squeeze the trigger. The part that the tank sits on is acalled a resevoir asm. it may have gone bad, or the seal is out of place.

Vax carpet shampooer wont release shampoo

if you unscrew a bit on the base that allows you to take off the brush, you will see a black plastic strip with very small holes in it. These are where your shampoo comes out of. Take a needle and re-pierce these holes and it should work again. I have just sorted mine out. good luck .
