Tabs on the element come off. Or if the element is damaged/scratched threw it losses contact. Not a complete circuit. They have kits to fix them.

Ur power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics’ and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your tv power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

That means that it isnt tuned properly and needs to be auto tuned and if you have done that again and it still doesnt work then you dont get enough reception for the box to work corectly.

You may have problem with transport system specially in the tension of tranport of the tape from one side to other. Immediate and simple solution if it works would be cleaning the pinch roller. It is the part with black robber roller when you open the tape compartment. Clean the roller using denatured alchohol with a Qtip. If this does not resolve, it need a diagnostic by a technician.
