code poo90 refers to fuel metering solenoid--open circuit===causes wiring open circuit--fuel metering solenoid---ECM
code p2009 refers to intake manifold air control actuator bank 1--circuit low ===causes --wiring short to ground--intake manifold air control actuator ---intake manifold air control solenoid

with new gen cars/trucks they show fault code in the form of a eng light on ! If the eng light is on there is a fault on diagnostics = eng management,air flow meter,feul pressure sensor,injectors etc.the trick is to find it ? workshops use a Diagnostic tool (Gen2) for Isuzu,mabe u could ask a alternative tool (launch master)also a diagnostic tool /most aftermarket workshops should be able to diagnose the problem. (this is also the reason your cruise control will not work because of the Eng Light.

I guess my first question is did he clear the codes and did the check engine light come back on ?
The code 1238 is for a problem with the mass air flow meter which could be caused if the engine is running without an air filter in place.
I don't have any info on the other code.
