I have a packard bell laptop ,, its wifi turns off every now and then , i have to shut down the laptop and restart again to use it ,, when i do that , it work fine for another 20 min and then again the wifi light goes off and it stops working ,, its frustrating ,, sometimes it goes frequently.. please help me with this, its really making me sick ..
How to turn on wirless connection on laptop with out wire, at the momment it only works if usb port cable is in laptop there must be a button or some sort any ideas were!!!!!
In the configuration settings for the adaptor look to see if there is a CAM (Constantly Awake Mode). Also in the System settings in Control Panel for the adaptor there may be a setting for Windows to switch off for power saving.
Don't know if you found a fix yet but there are two things to try..First disable the Wireless Zero Configuration [run..services.msc...right click WZC and disable]. It is a feature that goes looking for nearby networks every 10 minutes or so and will get in the habit of throwing you off ..ESPECIALLY if you are using a laptop that overheats easily..which they seem to do because of the poor fan and vent placements.
