I have recently purchased a Packard Bell notebook for my partner and we have come across a problem with it when we go to start it up. We get an error signal by way of 5 two second Beeps with a space of 5 seconds between them and then an interval of 1 minute followed by the Beep pattern again.
So, BEEP for 2 seconds five second break times 5, then a minute silence, only to repeat the whole process over and over.
The notebook will not boot up of show any lights during this process so you look at a black screen.
I would love to know if you could shine any light on this situation for us,
Kind regards,
Andrew Bone.

Wireless problems with a Packard Bell PC or laptop can be caused by a variety of issues.
The best troubleshooting resources are the documentation that came supplied with the computer, and the Support section of the Packard Bell website.
Unable To Detect Wireless Network
If the Packard Bell machine is unable to detect a wireless network, the computer itself or the network could be at fault.
Check that a wireless signal is being broadcast via another PC or device, and check that are wireless adapter is installed, complete with the latest drivers, which are available at the Packard Bell website.
Unreliable Wireless Network
If the wireless connection is unreliable, intermittent or very slow, it suggests a problem with the Wi-Fi broadcast.
Try positioning the computer closer to the router broadcasting the wireless signal, or use a signal booster to improve the range.
Download and install the latest driver updates from the Packard Bell website and through the Windows Update tool.
Unable To Connect To Wireless Network
If the computer can detect the network but is unable to connect to it, a network security key may be required. This should have been configured by the person who set up the network. Consult the documentation that came with your router for details of how to change it or generate a new key.
Hope this helps
