When I selected the Power button no lights appeared. After a couple of hours, 5 of the lights on the front panel came on. How do I select a mode from here without it all going off again?

if you can select different cycles such as rinse only and that light up and then if you change it to normal cycle and it light up,then that tells me you touch pad is working,Check your door switches if those are good and your touch pad is responding, i would replace cpu board. If you remove the kick plate there should be a tech sheet there you can put unit into diagnostic mode with a certain key dance if your touch pad is responding.

Hi mcdoddle,
I'm Harvey the master Plumber.
Your problem is: dishwasher powers up when switched on via control panel. When start is selected, the lights indicate wash but nothing happens.
This may sound stupid but first make sure no one turned the water off to the d/w. If OK then you likely have a clogged or failed solanoid valve. The d/w must be removed for replacement. I don't recomend this for the average homeowner. You might consider utilizing our Repair Directory to find a repairman.

Lets try the following hope this works
1.- unplug the appliance, isolate it from the electric supply.
2.- Remove the kitchen unit plinth and check inside the inspection panels below the door to see if there is water in the base.
If there is, sponge it out and then try the machine again.
