Just bought a 1000 watt Baja amp today and hooked it up to my 2 MTX 10's and the light on the amp is green but the subs arent turning on. Im positive that my subs aren't blown or anything either. There are no blown fuses.

well if the remote is connected to the radio then i think u shouldnt dissconnect the radio. try some other ground. sometimes not all bolts and nuts are good gounding. try the truck latch or something.
SOURCE: my sub flickers on and off in my truck!!!
could be a number of things loose wires bad ground fuse on its way out or internal problems
SOURCE: Amp is shutting off after 10 min of driving!! please help!!
Does it happen at all volume levels?
What is the gain setting on the sub amp?
Have you checked for 12V @ remote turn on after problem occurs?
Sounds as if the remote turn on relay inside the amplifier is losing signal, or has become damaged. If the protection light does not light up, the problem is not thermal, shorting, or high/low voltage.
The amplifier is in need of repair. This is not an end-user fix. Looking at about $50 to repair.
Thanks for using FixYa- a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

you have your subs wired wrong for that amp!
SOURCE: Strange electric outburst
are your cables ran seperate? run the rca and remote wire opposite side of car where power wire is. rca and remote wire can pick up signal from elctric static from power wire.????
