While removing the full bag, the plastic piece that you insert bag on came off and a spring popped out. Need directions to put it back together. Thank you

it isn't obvious from the pics but if I had to guess u need to get both the catch and the spring (if u lost it) b/c the reason the spring came out is that the catch is already broken.
Once u get it, it simply pops into place.
look at this page - may help

Please check the spring on your lid, it may be keeping the door open. Miele vacuum cleaners mainly use a spring concept for keeping lids open - merely pushing it down will lock it at the bottom.
That spring thing goes where the pedal screws into the side. When 'facing' the dyson in the front, it's on the left side. The spring's circle part and short stem section goes into a divot area on the pedal. The other end is tensioned (braced) against some housing piece, but once you insert the spring part in the pedal end part, you should be able to figure it out from there. This darned spring makes the pedal 'tensioned' to where it pops back up vs. flopping nonsensically.
I think it's a spring that goes on the bag holder itself... You have to sort of pop the bag holder up from it's hinges and see a little tab stick on the bottom, in the middle, pointing sideways. There's a little groove that the spring is supposed to line up with on one side, and if it's not in that place you put the spring on backwards and have to turn it around the other way so the end lines up. Then snap the holder back in, and make sure the spring is pushing against the vacuum so when it's in place, the holder pushes the bag up towards the lid. The spring is to keep the bag pressed up to the air intake, and doesn't push down very much.
The snap ring is generally found on a Canadian made LUX AP series prior to 1982 and it is in fact a coil spring you must leave the wiring off the handle. Be sure the steel cap and rubber o ring are on the tip of the hose. Slide the handle onto the hose with the hose tip facing upright. then with a small flat screwdriver separate the hooked tip of the spring from its body and run your screwdriver around the spring, feeding it into the groove inside the hose handle, spiraling as you go. similar to how you would feed a key onto a key ring. Before inserting the wire cover try to swivel thew handle it should rotate smoothly. Be very gentle inserting the wire cover pin as it will crack the handle. Use gentle pressure with pliers to start it , then squeeze it into place with your plier jaws fully open. Post back to advise how you have made out
The 2100 is an older model which is prone to rocker switch failure. What you see outside is only a switch button. Underneath is a plastic rocker which sits in a grove and pivots back and forth to activate the on off switch. If you push the switch down and there is no audible "click" you Likely need the rocker itself, especially if you tip the vac upside down and shake it and hear a piece rattling inside or find a broken narrow plastic finger about 1/2" inch long when opened. However if it clicks and works every 3-5 times, the rocker is fine and you will need the spring mechanism and switch button which you can see form outside. To remove either the process is the same. Separate the body by opening the bag cage and pulling the two bumpers forward with a set of pliers. They are locking keys. Once removed, the rear housing will drop off allowing the vac to hinge open back to front. Do this with the vac laying upside down and observe the hinge section of the front bag door .DO NOT REMOVE THE MOTOR. You will need to clip all these componnets back together to reassemble and slide the bag chamber back to seat against the motor with the motor housing engage in the ribbing of the vac side walls. With the vac open you will only need to remove the spring loaded bag lockout switch and the bag housing it sits on, not the motor or rewind.. Once removed there will be 6 chrome philips screws visible. These hold the top trim on the front of the vac and the front ones hold the on off switch into its housing. At the very front will be two screws going through a black or whitish switch housing. That housing will lift out with wires attached to reveal the switch rocker, etc,. This portion will lift back and out at about 45 degrees of the inner housing, as a unit. The switch button sits atop the rocker via two end tabs and will pop off the housing to reveal if the rocker itself has a broken "finger" or if the button has a weak spring. The suspect spring is not the coil rocker spring but the thin U shaped spring on the underside of the switch button. Remove the rocker spring with a pair of needle nose pliers.and examine the rocker comparing to your new one.Use more vaseline on the new rocker and if you have it reinsert the clear flex plastic into the coil spring. If not disregard. Re-installation is the reverse order, tuck switch back in at 45 degrees from back to front. Pay special attention the the rubber seal at the back of the bag cage. If anything is misaligned in this body you will fight to reassemble. Don't fight it , back up and look at your work. When and ONLY when it is perfect it will realign and click together like a lego set and the keys will slide in perfectly You can and should test the vac before reassembling the whole body, simpley slide your hand under neath and activate the switch, with a bag inside the vac. See now, wasn't that EASY??????? Please post back to advise how you make out. Its a 7 minute process worth $25 for a good tech. A bad tech will spend half a day trying to figure this one out but just go slow and follow the instructions and you will do fine.
You'll see that there is a round piece with a cross shape on the inside of the button wand release button - place the end of the spring over the cross - you'll see the same cross on the collar of the machine...it'll take some doing, but line the other end of the spring up with the cross and pop the button back into place - be sure to click it onto those two gray circular/oval shaped divets at the bottom where the release button connects to so that the button stays in place.
Slide the plastic piece off the cloth bag and open the top. Looking down into the cloth bag, you will see the old bag. It is secured to the machine near the top. You will find the cardboard collar about a third of the way down. Remove it carefull. Now, stand BEHIND the machine and put your knee against the back of the handle and taking the new bag, open the hole in the cardboard collar and insert the bag into the cloth bag and put the cardboard collar onto the handle fitting. It helps to put the lower part of the hole on first and then press the top of the collar onto the handle fitting. The idea of standing behind with your knee against the handle is so that as you attach the bag, you will be pushing against your knee which will steady the machine and allow you to use the required force to complete the action. Once completed, fold the top of the paper bag down, so that when you replace the top slider, the paper bag is NOT clamped between the cloth bag and the slider.
The trim pieces along the sides just pull off seperating the two housings. The back portion where the retract drum is is held by two plastic tangs on top inside. use a screwdriver to pry the ring down to dislodge the tangs. the bottom part will lift off. remove the front part using two screws just below the hinge. the retract has a long coil spring wound around a free spinning hub.
there are two "tangs" inside that engage a ratchet-pawl assembly. you'll need to rotate the drum to rewind the spring onto its hub.
