SOURCE: Salt Indicator Light Flashes Permanently On Indesit IDE 750 dishwasher
I've had the same problem on my Indesit (IDL-730, IDL730) and after pouring in salt until full for ages, without the light going out, I finally decided to do the reverse.
I left it to run down the salt over a couple of months, until well empty (not ideal, but I was getting desperate!), and then finally refilled it.
Problem solved - salt error light was no longer on
All I can figure is that a blockage had set in and casued the issue. Leaving it to clear over time sorted it.
Hope this helps in your situation.

It can also be that the pressure is too week. If you look a tthe manual it mentions this exact symptom. I know because i ve a similar issue. cheers
SOURCE: Indesit D167. When cycle selected no water pumping or filling but 1 & 2 green indicators on.
Tilt your dishwasher forwards. Be aware that water will come out ouf the bottom. Once this is clear your washer should be Ok.
Good Luck

SOURCE: Machine does not fill with water
Pull the unit out and tip it carefully to one side. (put some rag down first to mop up the water) then stand the unit back up.
Make sure you can see the back of the unit. put some tissue paper behind the plastic pipe that runs up the back centre of the machine. Turn the unit on and put into cycle. after a few minutes carefully remove the paper if its wet (even a little) the chances are the star shaped lock nut inside is loose or the pipe is damaged. A replacement is readily available and should cost less than a tenner to buy. just make sure you order a new seal as well and get a 20-25mm jubilee clip to replace the one installed. Failing that check the water pressure to the unit!
