Error 5

If no default printer is selected, or no printer driver is installed, Printer Error #5 is displayed.

Select a default printer in Windows by going to your Control Panel > Printers. Highlight your Printer and go to File on then Menu Bar and choosing Set as Default.

If the correct printer is already set as the default, and you get Error #5, try setting another printer as the default printer. Then select and set the desired printer as the default, and reboot the machine. This sometimes clears the problem.

Printer t2280+ displays paper width error after printind only one line and stop . even on selftest without connecting to the system

Hello

When using the Show method of Data Report to preview the report, the page orientation defaults to the default printer settings on the local computer. Therefore, if the orientation of the default printer settings is set to Portrait of standard Letter paper and your report width is more than 8.5 inches wide, the following error occurs:

1. Make sure that there is no extra white space in the report. If there is any extra white space in the report, close up that section so that the ruler falls within the width of your default printer.

2. Set your Left Margin and Right Margin to 0.

3. Check your printer setting to ensure that your default printer is set up correctly. If the report is landscape (that is, greater than 8.5 inches) the default printer should be set accordingly.

I have an HP Photosmart C7280 Printer wireless connected. The Pause Printer and Use Printer Offline are always checked on. How do I change the default status on these 2 items to default off. Whenever I...

To change the default printer settings or to restore the settings in your printer, click on the start menu, select Settings, and then select "Printers" from the menu that appears. After that you could right-click the printer that you would like to change settings for, and then select "Properties" from the menu that appears. This would open up a tabbed window that would display many settings that you can change. You could change the settings you need to change or there is another option that you would find to restore to defaults, this would allow you to set the default settings on your printer.

How do I set up Canon 8500 printer defaults in computer? I print manuals as needed that require 2 sided, colored covers then stapled. There used to be a manual default to select but was erased accidently.

    hi there,

You can change the default printer to any other printer that you have connected to your computer. This will simplify your printing tasks, since you can select the most frequently used printer to be the default.

    1. Click on the Start menu and click on Settings, then Printers.
    2. A window will appear showing the icons of all the printers that are installed on your system. Right-click on the icon for the printer you want to use as the default. A menu will appear.
    3. Click on Set as Default.
    4. To make sure the correct printer is now set as the default, right-click on the printer icon again. When the menu opens, a check mark should appear before Set as Default.
    Hope this initial info/idea helps.
