Can't hear person talking

When a call comes in and I answer, I can't hear anything the person says but they can hear me. This happened on my Convoy 2 and previously on 1. I've only had it a year and half. Took the battery out for a bit and put it back in, problem not solved. No damage was done to it, water hasn't touched it or anything. Not sure how to fix it?

Any good phone service guy will either be able to fix that, or to explain why it can't be fixed.

How many phone service guys are there in your town, please?

SOURCE: cant hear anything when i answer the phone

In order to check your mobiles capability to modulate sound just put your headphone. If you are able to hear the speech through headphone then the problem is with your speaker. If unable to get the speech the problem is with main pcb itself and to repair that you will have to go to service center it will be costly but if you are able to hear through headphone then it will be cheap.

SOURCE: i dropped my samsung convoy in a cup of diet coke,

Always remove the battery instantly when you cell phone gets wet. Remove the battery. There are two screws in the battery compartment at the bottom. There are two rubber plugs on the back side of the phone at the top. One one each side of the screw that unlocks the battery compartment. Remove the plugs and you will see the other two screws. Remove all four screws and gently pry apart the phone. Mine is easier to start from the top.
Once it is apart you will see where the ribbon cable attaches to the Printe Circuit Board (PCB). It doesn't look like it but that plugs on to the board. Gently pry up on one end. (I used my finger nail) Be carefull not to tear the ribbon cable. Once you have that loose take the PCB out of the phone. Remove the two very small screws (there's only two on the board) that hold the shield on the board and remove it. Now all you can do is clean the PCB. I would use warm water and a tooth brush but be gentle. Be sure to get where the ribbon cable pluged in good and look at the plug on the ribbon cable cleaning it as well. The ribbon cable is very easy to tear. Be carefull. Dry all parts thoroughly. Use a hair drier or let it sit for a day. When reassembling the phone be sure the ribbon cable is snapped back into place. You will know because it will stay there if you gently pull on it. Reinsert battery and good luck. Hope this helps.

I have a Motorola C602 with 2 handsets. They both ring when an external call comes in however when I answer using one handset I hear the caller fine but if the user on the other Motorola handset wants to...

When this is required between 2 Internal Users and 1 External User, follow the Instructions for a 3 way Conference Call.
See Section 3.5.4 on Page 16 of the User Manual.
Good Luck!

I hear my voice echo some of the time (no particular relation to location) when I talk to someone. Why and how do I get it fixed? Thanks

This has no problem to do with the phone as far as i know.
It occurs normally when you are talking to someone who happens to be in a very quite and large room without that it empty. this is due to the empty vaccumm that causes the sound that is produced to be reflected back into themic of the phone and as a result causes you to hear your voice.
Also, another thing that causes it is when you talk to someone who puts the call on loudspeaker and there are multiple surfaces causing the reflection of the sounds you make.
In summary, there is nothing wrong with your phone and you just need to tell whoever you are talking to to try and move to an area that is a bit occupied so as to prevent echoes.

Our line one cuts out even when we're talking on it & we can just barely hear the person on the line but they can hear us clearly. We have unplugged the phone's power cord & plugged it back in...

I have the same sort of problem...kinda..lol. My Vtech sorta 'cuts out' when there is noise at my hosue. The person I'm talking to can still hear me but I can't hear them. If my son starts crying or there's any other loudish type noises on my end, it's like the phone is trying to cutout my background noise, but all it's cutting out is the person talking to me. It's not that the noises in my house are loud and I jsut can't hear the person I"m talking to, b/c if i cover the mouth peice then no matter how loud the sound in my house is i can still hear the person i'm talking to but I HAVE to keep the mouth peice covered. It's really annoying!

You have to unplug everything, take the batteries out of all the phones, wait ten minutes and then plug everything back in. Mine does this once or twice a week... they won't give me my money back.
