When a call comes in and I answer, I can't hear anything the person says but they can hear me. This happened on my Convoy 2 and previously on 1. I've only had it a year and half. Took the battery out for a bit and put it back in, problem not solved. No damage was done to it, water hasn't touched it or anything. Not sure how to fix it?

In order to check your mobiles capability to modulate sound just put your headphone. If you are able to hear the speech through headphone then the problem is with your speaker. If unable to get the speech the problem is with main pcb itself and to repair that you will have to go to service center it will be costly but if you are able to hear through headphone then it will be cheap.

Always remove the battery instantly when you cell phone gets wet. Remove the battery. There are two screws in the battery compartment at the bottom. There are two rubber plugs on the back side of the phone at the top. One one each side of the screw that unlocks the battery compartment. Remove the plugs and you will see the other two screws. Remove all four screws and gently pry apart the phone. Mine is easier to start from the top.
Once it is apart you will see where the ribbon cable attaches to the Printe Circuit Board (PCB). It doesn't look like it but that plugs on to the board. Gently pry up on one end. (I used my finger nail) Be carefull not to tear the ribbon cable. Once you have that loose take the PCB out of the phone. Remove the two very small screws (there's only two on the board) that hold the shield on the board and remove it. Now all you can do is clean the PCB. I would use warm water and a tooth brush but be gentle. Be sure to get where the ribbon cable pluged in good and look at the plug on the ribbon cable cleaning it as well. The ribbon cable is very easy to tear. Be carefull. Dry all parts thoroughly. Use a hair drier or let it sit for a day. When reassembling the phone be sure the ribbon cable is snapped back into place. You will know because it will stay there if you gently pull on it. Reinsert battery and good luck. Hope this helps.
