You need to remove the cover of the laptop locate the password jumper.(near the hard drive, clearly labelled.) take what looks like a little cap off. push the power on button for three seconds. replace cap close laptop, replace cover, and your password will be reset. leave it blank, do not do this with laptop a/c power cord plug into wall socket.

Windows is corrupted you will have to use your Dell Restore Cd to reinstall Windows. The drivers if you have the driver cd will have to be reinstalled as well.
Good Luck

SOURCE: unresponsive keyboard

Replace the keyboard. They're readily available on ebay. Also, try plugging a usb keyboard in & see if it still happens. If it does then forget replacing the keyboard. Instead you'll be needing a motherboard.

SOURCE: Dell laptop ... inspiron 6400 System/adminstrator password

I believed this can be resolve by clean the cmos battery. you need to remove the cmos batery from the laptop then power it on then immediately turn it off. then put the battery back to the laptop then power it on keep tapping on f2 to enter setup. please follow the instructions from the link to remove the cmos battery http://tinyurl.com/yb3mhyg

SOURCE: dell inspiron 1525 invalid password bios

don't mess with short circuiting, dellpasswords.com
have dell bios password from dell with older and newer bios password
just require both passwords from them,

as you noticed dell have now 2 bios password depending on the bios version, usually A9 - 2011

Dell Inspiron 1545 red processor:Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU T4400 @2.20GHz is error code 2000-0221, how to solve this problem?

this is a bios level error, you should still be able to run the system. this code is something you get when you hit F12 and run the diagnostics? or is this a blue screen error? you are probably going to need to boot to F2 (setup) then hit "Alt e" Alt F then Alt B the system will beep on the alt f but that's ok once this is done hit esc, save changes and reboot and see if you still get the error

Wont load windows got a black screen with a flashing under score in the top left hand corner f2 and f12 beep when I push, then

Most likely a hard drive issue. Might have a corrupt boot sector, might be a failing hard drive. Remove HDD and see if you can boot to a windows CD, if you can then the issue is with the drive.

My dell inspiron 1545 laptop won't accept my password to login

  1. Reboot the computer
  2. Right after the bios is finished, hit F8 (or F2,10,12)
  3. Select ‘Safe mode’ or ‘Safe mode with networking support’
  4. Windows will boot up to the logon screen. Click administrator
  5. Do, Start->Run->type ‘command’
  6. To reset the password type ‘net user username *’ where username is the username you want to reset.
  7. For no password, leave blank.
  8. Now, reboot and you can login as that user.
