i dont know of any way to do this without a factory reset. first shut down you tablet. then start it up in recovery(hold power + volume down). and last use volume buttons to scroll down to factory reset
Try this before you do a factory reset by loading the firmware again.
If you set a pass code (or pattern) that you cannot remember, please enter the wrong password (10-20 times) until you are prompted to sign in via your google account. Please note, this will only work if you have already setup your google account on the tablet. If you have not set up a Google (or Gmail) account on the tablet, you will have to perform a firmware install, which will revert the tablet back to factory settings.
this is apple's lock, i will not want someone to open up my iPad if it is stolen, if not contact apple directly they will assist you after some checks, remember that the code can be reset if you know the apple id and password for that iPad.
What a shame, legally I amd bound by a code of practice and have to tell you that a password is placed on an electronic item to protect the owner and I am also to tell you that the only way to restore your system is to re format your disk if it is the secondarey pass word but if it is the BIOS/Boot password then take it to a dealer with proof of identity, for a repair. Sorry I expect you didn't want to read that.
