Different models different sizes . you need to now what model then look it up on line for the dimension's

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

Typically microwaves can handle minor spills.

Unplug the unit..tilt it backwards to drain any excess water..

Let it sit for a day or more to dry out completely..leaving the door open..

If nothing shorted..and I doubt it did..all should be backto normal. Plug it in and test it out.

There one of two ways the bulb can be accessed, If you look at the sides of the oven you may see if there is a small door "rectangular" it will have a screw or a ridge where you can pull it open, some have doors are on the back. The final option is to remove the top cover "unplug and use extreme causion" bulb should be visible on the left side when you look at the microwave oven from the front.

No solution yet but have ordered a replacement high voltage capacitor. If this works, I'll let you know.
Your expert did not respond to one of my questions which was whether he had experience with this type of problem with a microwave magnetron. When he did not reply after a substantial period, I assumed he had given up on the problem.

It could be a magnetron sparks to the open metal inside the m/w cavity or some broken wire on high voltage side. It is not HV transformer (when burn create a lot of smoke and bad smell). Magnetron needs to be replace.
