Inkjet printer EPSON L 200 not booting up most times.Makes lots of Whirring noises, Scanner does not seem to initiate. After a lot of whirring and clicking all three lights come on. That's it.

Scanners tend to initiate simply by warming up their lamps and pushing the carriage back to its rest position

Whirring noises generally indicate either the ink pumps or the drive belts are faulty... which here might well mean the scanner drive belt is failing to return the scan heads to the correct position.

That would tend to indicate the belt or the drive motor have slipping teeth or there is a blockage, perhaps from bits of torn paper...

Dryer makes loud whirring noise when try turn on, won't start

I am guessing that it does not do anything after it makes the noise?. If you hear something running after the whirring noise, but the drum is not turning it is possible the belt has broken or slipped off the motor pully. If you hear no noise after the first startup and it completely stops making any sounds then it may be a motor problem. I am no pro, just a do it yourselfer. www.repairclinic.com can help ya more than me. Just have the model number ready when you go there and look at the symptoms. Hope this helps.

Scanner mechanism stuck, making loud clicking sound

I've just got this problem after a powercut, whilst it was not being used but on. If you have only had it a few months send it in warranty.
Think I will have to take this apart and see if the scanner cable/ribbon/drive belt is caught on something or been stretched too much and can be replaced at all.
Its like at one end its caught and wont move the scanning head being stuck somehow, caught on something (doubtful tho').

Service req E537

E537 is a Fuser Unit error, it most likely requires replacing but first try a few simple checks. Lift the scanner unit upwards out of the way and open the top rear cover to expose the fuser unit. Check that it is seated properly and that both "latches" are in the locked position. Try unlocking them and removing/reseating the fuser (there is a small plastic hinged piece on the L/H side of the printer that needs lifting to allow removal). If all of this fails you will need to replace the fuser unit. A google search should turn up a stockist in your area as they are listed as consumable items.

Please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

When turned on, displays a E537 error code. Solution?

error 537 is a failed fuser. You will need to replace it before you can use the unit. cost of a fuser is about $450 retail.

Epson AccuLaser CX11NF

I had this problem. Try unplugging any usb connection to the computer, turn off, then turn on and then try a stand alone copy. It was my USB connection to the computer which had locked up the copier.
After this it was fine.
