My colors are printing off and I just got new ink cartridge. When I print a color copy, some of the colors are way off, such as yellow, lighter peach. Some are okay, such as brown, grey and blue.

I contacted Kodak and they're sending me a new Print Head. This apparently is a problem they're aware of.

Why is my Canon Pixma 4820 suddenly leaving lighter lines through color pictures.

Worn print head. And for what they charge for a stinking print head you can get a new printer for less with a warranty to boot!

Don't print the black color

Doing reference on your issue. Double check the ink cartridge to make sure that the cartridge is correctly installed. Also be sure that the black ink cartridge used is compatible with the machine.

The next thing to do is a cartridge cleaning as the belief is that the print head is blocked. If you have done a thurough cleaning, the next thing to do is replace the black ink cartridge to be certain the ink cartridge is not faulty.

I have included print head cleaning instructions in case you have not done this cleaning process.

here is some information from the Brother support site:

If one or more of the ink colors are missing from pages printed by your machine (i.e. received faxes, copies and/or documents printed from the PC etc), nozzles in the print head may be clogged, or the ink cartridge in question may not be installed correctly. Verifying that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and/or cleaning the print head may solve the problem.

Cleaning the print head may solve the problem. When cleaning the print head, you are given the option to clean BLACK ONLY, one of the three colors (CYAN, YELLOW, or MAGENTA), or all four colors at once. For this issue we recommend cleaning only the affected color. If more than one color is missing then choose ALL.

When the machine completes cleaning the print head, press Color Start. A Print Quality Check Sheet will print.

Alarm flashes ink emptyhas ink! color was printing only yellow/green now prints only red/pink!

any chance it has dried out? run the test / head cleaning / did you reset the cartridge when you replaced it? generally if one or two colors work - the problem is the ink cartridge or the head for the colors not working. Did you remove the "tape" on the new cartridge?

Color printed copy appeared unbalance, one side is light.

Please do the following

1) Take the Ink cartridge out and shake it well.

2) Wipe the print head with a tissue to eliminate all dried ink particales.

Once dont please insert the cart ridge again and try printing

Prints only green predominently

Without knowing what printer you have or what things you have tried I can only guess here. It sounds like you need a new cartridge. A color ink cartridge will have 3 colors of ink for most printers...cyan (blue), magenta (purplish-maroon), and yellow. Depending on what you print it is very possible that you could run out of one of the inks before the others. Printing green can be an indication that you are out of magenta ink. The cyan and yellow inks will combine and look green.

You can remove the cartridge and run a tissue over the printhead and see if you see all 3 colors as a quick test. If you only see cyan and yellow, then the magenta is probably empty or dried up. If you see all 3 colors I would reinsert the cartridge and try printing again. It is possible that the magenta was just clogged and you cleaned it with the tissue. If it still doesn't print all colors your best bet is probably to just get a new ink cartridge.

You are using HP's cartridge with the smallest output . So if you are printing 80 pages of text, you will have a problem by the time you reach 95 or 100 pages. If you are printing in color, you only have 1ml/color. Meaning 3 colors. But in order to print a red, it will combine a magenta and yellow to product 1 color. So 3 colors doesn't mean 3 ml worth of colors. Effectively you may only be able to print 10-20 pages of color then your cartridge is empty. The black cartridge has about 4-5ml of ink. So if you print a lot I suggest you get another printer.

Yellow Hue when color copying

I understand your situation, however let me explain you that whenever you try to make a copy or print, yellow cartridge takes part and provides its color in all the aspects. Please do check that you use the HP ink cartridges and try to clean the cartridges for every 15 days as this may reduce the issues of colors.
