Red light flashing on far right symbol/battery or charger going ?

I would take note of the message you are getting and buy a new battery. I believe the red flashing lights mean that one or more of the cells in the battery are dying, and it's best not to turn off alarm lights like these. Did the battery hold charge for a longer period than one hour before you started to see the flashing light warning?

Easy your battery is shot. Go to ebay and find a new one around $30. just enter all your info of ur laptop like Dell Latitude and should be a # with latitude.

The battery is usable, but will slowly decline.

The system has the option of a 2nd battery in the media bay (In place of the optical drive) but since you don't have one installed, it just shows the 2nd battery as an option

remove the battery and just connect the power cord and see what is the status.may be your battery is not getting chage or it is faulty.

remove the battery
clean the connecting ends of ur laptop & battery,
plug it back in & then start it...

There are a few LED lights on all laptops if that's what you mean, each usually have a symbol to indicate their meaning, the meanings can vary according to colour as well. For example mine has a picture of satellite dish (wi fi) which flashes orange as it communicates with my wireless router, there's a battery which is green when plugged in and orange when using battery. I have a bluetooth icon as well. There should also be one for the computer being on.

You can't as far as I know do much about them. Aside from sticking bluetac over them :-)

it means not charging the battery pack, did you check the dc jack connector, or the.
charger check it if working properly, if the same problem open the laptop then check the baord

Test your charger, the battery light blinking and the computer not starting up indicates not enough power to start up or not pluged into ac power, check the power adapter or charger. I suspect the battery is fine.

Ok the lightning bolt is your power indicator: solid green-charging, Flashing green-fully charged, flashing red-low battery, flashing red three times the once green-bad battery. the "trash can" looking one is your hard drive activity indicator it will flash while your hard drive is reading and writing.

the charger in the laptop is not functioning. pc will need repaired
