Ants have got into the inside of the computer. When I removed the cover of the hard disk the compartment was swarming with small black ants. I have taken them out with a vacuum cleaner but other ants keep appearing from the very small holes in the compartment. They must be also in spaces under the disk compartment. So now I want to unscrew and remove the complete bottom. Is there a manual that describes which screws must be removed and in what order? Some schematic of the inside of the computer so that I am not working in the dark. Help will be appreciated. Mike King

I don't know if this is the forum for it but I have an ant problem indoors. I have sprayed the ants with Windex. They look dead. Will windex work as an ant weapon? Thanks

Ants leave an invisible to the naked eye trail for other ants to follow so I don't know if it will work, but I can tell you what will prevent them from coming in sprinkling cinnamon around your house will keep them out the cinnamon burns their feet so they steer clear, it is also safe for pets and kids. You can sprinkle it in your window sills and in front of all doors that lead to the outdoors but it is just faster and easier to go around the whole house leaving the ants no way in anywhere. I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and a small child I do this every spring and my house is ant free all summer, don't worry about rain it just pushes the cinnamon into the ground making a good barrier around your home. There is a spray however that will kill them inside at Walmart that is cheap and will kill them and is also safe for pets and kids but can be hard to find I hope this helps .

Ant infestation

You want a product that will kill, many different types and varieties of ants.
Hot Shot Products, and the Terro brand products have been successful for us.

Large brown/black ants

Use ant bait that they will eat and take back to the other ants.

How do I get rid of small black ants in the kitchen

Mix equal parts boric acid and white sugar, add enough water until it's 'soupy' but not runny, pour into a shallow lid (eg. lid from cottage cheese) and place in the ants favorite location. Keep it away from kids and pets. Let the ants live; they will carry this solution back to their nest and they all die

Well my Keurig wasn't working as fast as it used to and this morning when I went to add water...I removed the cover and a zillion sugar ants came pouring out of it. Right from the hole where the water...

I HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH ANTS IN MY KEURIG. I've had ants in the past during the springtime and I've never had a problem with any other coffeemaker being infested with ants. I saw two ants actually crawling around underneath the blue brewing light while the machine was brewing plain water! I've de-scaled it with vinegar and have run water through it over and over and over again. There are STILL ants in it. It's currently outside my home and I have no other ants in the house. I called Keurig just to see if they have heard of this happening and they told me no and that it's an environmental problem. That's obviously a lie because all you have to do is Google Keurig and ants and you can read of other problems. I think I am probably going to throw the Keurig away . . .

Smartdisk Firelite model USBFLB40-c - not recognising - stored data recovery

Most likely the vacuum and not the ants. The vacuum could have given it a dangerous charge or vibration. You may need to extract the drive from the enclosure. It possible ( hopefully) that the enclosures bridge board failed instead of the drive. When you extract the drive, you will see....its construction is made well, and can stand up to crittters..
