My speakers won't work there is no power no light

try disconecting the Batt to reset the radio

if you have short, maybe your have a IC amp short inside. You must go to the repair shop for fix it. The speaker you can test in another system.

Is the sound coming through the speakers? It sounds like a fuse problem. The spark might have shorted something out

you must test the output with another speaker and see if work or NOT. if work you must know the speaker is faulty. If not work, you must see the Unit can be faulty circuit sound. God bless you

firstly check your power cable by moving the wire in various directions while it is plugged in ac outlet and powered on, if it lit up the standby power LED then the prob lies on the power cable. If not, try opening the speaker system box itself (be sure to unplugged the power cable before opening the box), then visually check inside for the little cylindrical glass type tube(if the circuitry still uses this kind of fuse) if it is burnt-out.

Determine from which speaker is humming,

if all of them , check power supply.

if only one of them , replace the IC.

If the speaker is OK, check the audio output components like ICs and transistors.

Make sure the remote wire is hooked up. You can run a small wire from the power terminal to the remote terminal. If it powers up, then you have a remote wire problem. You can run a remote wire from the blue power antennae wire of the deck.

Hi. You might want to try a different set of speakers or try the Altec Lansing on a different computer to isolate the issue. This can tell you if the problem is with the computer's sound card or your speakers. If the speakers won't work with any PC, try checking if the wires are all good and/ or soldered properly. Be cautious while doing this. make sure the speakers are not plugged in to any power source. I hope this helps. :-)
