My srm - 450 the light is busted where can i get one ?
Any electronics components store.
I replace mine using a blue led from my kids broken toys. Remember leds have polarity, check it before. And always power off the speaker, I did blow some motherboard circuits while testing led and an unplugged horn cable did breakdown voltage. Shame on me
Replace fuse on the SRM450
You just take out all the screws from the back and remove it carefully, there you'll find fuse near by the power plug.
Check amperage (I think it is 4Amp fuse) and replace it
Mackie 450 crackle cut out
Replace your sub, it is blown. http://www.loudspeakersplus.com
Best prices on replacement parts, that I have found online so far, hope this helps, best of luck!
The tweeter of my mackie
The latest 450v2 include this metal portion 1 to isolate AC lines over IC's, metal part 2 is include in all versions, some technician remove them and that creates more hum at idle levels, by having both the latest 450v2's are the quietest of the v2's.
V1 did not use switching power supply, they use discrete circuit and that is why they are a bit quieter
Mackie srm 450v2 tweeters sound low
You have to disassemble the cabinet with a 18 inch long screwdriver first in order to get access to the driver, then remove the 4 allen nuts on the plastic that covers the diaphragm and proceed to change the diaphragm, most of times they start to sound low because they break the titanium in peaces or in a small portion.
Reason and fix for distorted sound?
Your amplifier circuit is in serious need of repair. If both amps are responding the same, then the likelihood of two separate amps going bad at same time is remote. Look at something they both share in common such as the power supply. If you do not feed the amp the correct "juice" it is not going to do squat!
How do I replace the blue led in my Mackie SRM450V2?
if its the blue front light you are talking about it is a fiddly but simple fix.
1 phone mackie and order an l.e.d. about £2
2 when it arrives take out the woofer and carefully lay to the side.
3 use a very small philips screwdriver, a tiny bit of blue tack, a mirror and a torch to remove the screw holding the small circuit board with the l.e.d.in place (the blue tack is to put on the tip of the screwdriver to hold the screw and the mirror and torch is so that you can see it)
4 remove the small circuit board and un-solder the l.e.d from it take note of the orientation of the contacts as they only work one way round) and resolder the new one in place.
5 check that it works and re-fit the board and screw ( this can take 2 seconds or 2 hours depending on how lucky you are and how sticky the blue tack is.
6 re-fit the woofer and grill
Fix ground loop
REmove or make it a real question. So with audio exactly the brand sort and pls describe the problem as much as you can. This like asking a rondom dj-store: why fader won't work ???? useless
Plugged in speakers and breaker tripped then speakers wouldnt work
It has an internal fuse, you will need to remove the back and look around near near where the plug goes in, make sure it is unplugged from AC net, check for continuity, if its open, change it and test for power on and then sound, if the fuse blows again DO NOT TRY ANOTHER ONE, there's a good posibility that the amp is fried, mostly in the woofer section...hope this helps.
Mackie SRM450 won't power on.
I am also getting the same problem. Complete power off. Was working like a dream. No given signs that this would cut off. Sent this for repair, the current quote is £160.00 for the amp module to be repaired. I was hoping to find somewhere that can supply, repair, or change for much less; considering that It is worth est £250.00 second hand!
