When I use memorex and sometimes other brands of blank dvd-r's.After I put the disk into the drive it all what happens is the light on the drives outside front stays on and it won't turn off thus I can not burn.I just keep using disk until it dose turn off.But here is the kicker.When I reboot the pc the disk that it would not recognize it will now,until 3 0r 4 burns then it starts all over again.Now I have updated the firm ware to the latest to LLOC for that drive.I am wondering if it's the disk that or causing the problem or the drive itself.

Well it's the disc that are causing the problem.I tried the same brand and type disc and they worked on the Lite On drive.But here is the kicker,when I used my old pioneer burner those Memorex disc that never got recognized by the Lite On drive burned.I think this Lite On drive has a life of it's own......
