What is the cause of Dell 4210X projector temp and lamp flashing amber?

This is going to be the lamp itself. Once you replace it will have to be reset back to zero hours to work properly

Red power, blinking red temp

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.
Goodluck..

Benq w1000 project not turning on

Look at the manual page 34, for the indicator messages. I suspect it's the same problem I have (which I haven't had formally diagnosed yet!), which I believe is a defective fan. My projector had been making a really loud noise on startup, which varied in length and volume. Recently the projector has taken to turning itself off after being on for about a minute, and the power light flashes green, with the temp and lamp lights flashing red.

I have a dell 1209s projector and the temp symbol flashes. I dont know if I need a new lamp or what? Help me? thanks

Hi,
Check the lamp cooling fan of your projector. maybe its has some problem. its not running at the correct RPM. that's why the lamp get over heated and the temp lamp flashes.Do one thing, Remove the fan from the projector. In the fan there will be a specification sticker. Remove the sicker. now u can see a hole in the center. its the bearing part of the fan. put one drop of oil in it. u can use any type of lubricating oil. rotate the fan leafs with finger for some time. after that re-stick the spec sticker. insert the fan in the projector. power ON the projector and watch.

Also try to reset the lamp hour of your projector. you can see the option for reset the lamp hour in the menu. Please not one thing lamp reset is recommended only after replacing the lamp.

Lamp and temp lights are flashing while in operation

clean out the projector with canned air. the dust is keeping in the heat and the lamp can't cool down. check the fans, too. check the lamp timer. if it's close to 2000 hours, replace the lamp and reset the timer.
