I have a hunter bay ceiling fan. The last time i used the remote I turned the fan on and the light off. Before I went to bed I used the switch on the wall to turn off the fan. Now I can't turn on the light with the remote. I changed the battery in the remote but I still can't turn on the light. The remote lights up but the light won't come on.

SOURCE: Hunter ceiling fan w/ remote won't work

You need to change the receiver inside the fan. It is located in the top canopy of the fan. you don't have to buy a new remote just the receiver to save money and match the dip switches to the remote.

LIGHT AND FAN ARE NOT WORKING. HAMPTON BAY LIGHT IS NOT WORKING

Could be a loose wire up inside the fan. I would be very careful in its use. Might I suggest getting an electrician in to resolve this issue. You do not want to battle a fire over a fan light issue.

the reciever is under the cover for your fan to the ceiling. Try pulling the switches on you fan then using the remote after each try. then check your wall switches,,, it could be wired to one.
