While installing xp sp3. Error message: file missing check i333

Are you sure i333 is not actually i386? The i386 folder contains all the files Windows uses to install XP. If you have XP installed already and it is asking for the i386 folder, it wants you to put the original Windows XP folder into your CD drive. If you are attempting to install Windows XP with SP3, there is something wrong with your CD. To avoid this problem in the past you can do this:
Copy Windows XP Installation Files to Local Hard Disk SourcePath Raymond CC

I downloaded i386 from the orginal XP pro disk, now how i install it.

You don't. It requires the rest of the setup files to install XP. i386 folders are placed locally for probable use, like when making changes to Add / Remove Windows programs.

Won't boot/reboot after turning off yesterday

1. boot from a Windows CD and go for the repair option.
2. Copy usp10.dll from c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386\gdi32.dll to c:\windows\system32\usp10.dll. (Do keep a backup copy of the old usp10.dll in c:\windows\system32 directory )
3. Reboot normally

Acer Aspire One Zg5 Audio driver not getting installed

Certian device driver installations might require existing system files to be modified which in return calls for the Windows Cab files which are normally in the i386 folder located on the Windows XP CD. If you have full access to this computer then all you have to do is find or borrow someone else's Windows XP Home CD and copy the i386 folder from the CD to somewhere on your local disk, root of C drive (C:\i386) would be fine. Then open the registry (Start > Run > regedit > OK) and modify the following value to point to the i386 folder.
Expand each of the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - MICROSOFT - WINDOWSNT - CURRENTVERSION, after you click on CurrentVersion on the right hand list, look for the value called "SourcePath". Double-click on 'SourcePath' and change its data to read C:\i386 (assuming that is where you copied that entire folder). Close registry editor, reboot and try installing the drivers again.

C0000139 Entry Point not Found computer will not boot-up.

Hi,

Are you getting this error with RPCRT4.DLL. If you do you need to replace this file from the Xp disk.
If you cannot follow, send me a message at [email protected] and hope we can talk over gmail or skype and i'll guide you through.

It may be difficult for you to do it.But if you could do, here the steps are :--
1.Use the Windows XP Recovery Console to replace the RPCRT4.dll file with the original version. To do this, follow these steps:
Insert your Windows XP CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD-ROM.
Some computers may require that you modify the basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For information about how to modify BIOS, see your computer documentation.
At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to start the Recovery Console.
Press the number key that corresponds to the installation that you want to repair, and then press ENTER.
Type the Administrator password, and then press ENTER.
With the Windows XP CD-ROM still in the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
cd system32
ren RPCRT4.dll RPCRT4.old
CD-ROM_or_DVD-ROM_Drive_Letter:
cd \i386
expand RPCRT4.dl_ BootDriveLetter:\windows\system32
exit

It'll fix your problem. :-)

Install Windows XP from DOS (ie. no OS on a new hard drive):

Boot with a Windows 98 Start Up disk
Insert the Windows 98 CD into the CD reader
Run smartdrv.exe from the Win98 directory on the windows 98 CD (file caching)
