I NEED A REPLACEMENT PART FOR HLT 400 - Garden

White dots that increase in number as time goes by indicates that the DLP chip needs to be replaced. Samsung use to cover this problem under their "white dot" warranty. You can call 1-800-samsung to see if they will repair it. If not, they can give you the closest service center. I would not attempt this repair unless you are a trained tech.

Here is a diagram of it. It is reverse threaded so you have to turn it like you was tightening it to loosen it. Clockwise looking at it from the bottom of the head. But there is a clutch that will let the whole thing turne. The best way is to remove the shaft from the weedeater and hold the shaft with some vice grips. Or you may be able to hold it right above the head, before the shaft tube.

I have had success resolving this issue bu unplugging the tv for 10 minutes or so and then plugging it back in.

This problem cause by DMD chip has been defective. This chip consist of over 2 mil mirrors tiltling to make picture. Some of the mirror does not function causing white dots. If the set is practically new, it should be under warranty. If not, it is likely that the replacement panel will cost almost *** much as the original cost of the set. If out of warranty, carefully open up the set and reseat all of the cables and connections. That may resolve the problem. If not, the problem could be in the processing area too.
