White dots in the screen of my Samsung DLP HLT-5075S

Bought that tv in april 2008, so no more warranty. A few weeks ago 1 white dot appear at the top of my screen. Now I have 5 to 6 white dots in my screen and 2 right in the middle. I play a lot with Playstation 3 can it be the problem? What can I do to resolve that issue.

This problem cause by DMD chip has been defective. This chip consist of over 2 mil mirrors tiltling to make picture. Some of the mirror does not function causing white dots. If you are in Cali, Orange, Sandiego or near by. Email me at: [email protected] so I can come and help you. This replacement need skilled technician to relace as it was inside the DMD board.

Id like to know if this is a defect in these tvs. There are so many doing it that the company should do a recall andwe should not have to pay for it.

Mitsubishi that the one,who u should contact.Talk to them make some kind of deal with them to help u to do a repairing or replace the tv Light Engine Projection Block.That the tv problems,this problems a design flaw on the tv Light Projection Egine Block the IC they put in that causes of this white spots are showing up will continue showing up more and more white dots.It will not stops.

WHITE DOTS ON SCREEN NEED DIAGRAM LOCATION AND REPLACEMENT HLT 56765X/XAA
White dots that increase in number as time goes by indicates that the DLP chip needs to be replaced. Samsung use to cover this problem under their "white dot" warranty. You can call 1-800-samsung to see if they will repair it. If not, they can give you the closest service center. I would not attempt this repair unless you are a trained tech.

White dots all over screen
hi,
check ur cable connection first. if its also with dvd, the go for an extension box ( power strip) with. surge protection and emi filter.
if ur tv or any device comes with three pin connection ( three pin plug) then remove the ground from that socket also. i think white dot comes because of electrical interference. check all other power out lets for any loose contact.
then check again.

White dots appearing on Samsung TV screen and multipling each day
It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board. Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.

Random dots or pixels failing on a DLP TV will be a bad DMD chip. This is a technician replace item only. The chip runs around 160 dollars list price. The part number will depend on which version the set uses and will be determined by the technician.

If your Mitsubishi TV has white spots in the picture , you can call Mitsubishi @ 1-800-332-2119 and request a free DLP Chip to fix the problem. They will send the New DLP Chip at no charge to a TV Tech in your area to install it for $200 flat rate. That is about a $250 savings if you had to pay for the chip . Call them with your TV's Model number and serial number and let them know when and where you bought the TV.
It saved me some hard earned money and now my TV is like New !

Small White Dots on the Screen
Just happend to my tv,i had a tv repair guy come out he wanted to charge me 600 to fix the tv is only 14 months old.

I ordered the part I need but now Im trying to find a manual to see if I can install or if i need to call someone to install
