The instructions on how to insert the camera battery and charge in the Inov8 universal charger are available in this youtube video Inov8 Universal battery charger
The inov8 charger for panasonic battery should be similar to use. You have to align the pins of the battery with the charger terminals and connect the mains plug. If you have the 12v travel kit then connect to the car lighter socket.
Universal chargers don't always work. Your best bet is to purchase a charger designed for your device. If it is completely dead you may need a wall charger to get it charging.
You can try to buy an original, from the brand of your camera, but there are lots of univeral chargers, that moostely costing less and you can use them to charge batteries from other brand too. I bought a GP Digital Camera / Camcorder Universal Li-ion Charger. On this you still have to put the connection point in the correct position by hand, but there are universal chargers you just put in any battery and it will be charged. Just google for universal Camera charger, or visit your local camera store.
Please check the technical specifications of your computer charger and see that your universal charger fulfills the same. Generally it is found that the universal charge may supply the required voltage but may not provide the required amperage. That is the reason most of the electronic companies insist on their chargers. If your charger is not working please get one from the company rather than using the universal charger and the spoiling your computer.
Universal chargers are OK for some of the electronic devices which do not require higher currents.
Well, I can't find the instructions online anywhere, but the charger seems easy enough to use. The battery contacts need to come in contact with the contacts in the charger. This particular charger automatically figures out the + and - so if you insert it incorrectly, it doesn't hurt anything.
Are you having this problem on a particular battery? Try using it on your car's battery with the headlights on. The headlights should brighten and the unit show 5 -10 amps charging. A car battery can develop a problem where the battery post gets disconnected from the inside. This is common on batteries in storage or left on charge a long time or used in a car with a defective alternator. The battery is charged but it won't start a car. headlights connected look normal until you turn the key, then the headlights will just go out. This descibes a bad battery.
hi i had the problem before , you have to buy dell charger in order to charge your battery, universal charger doesnot work with this, the only way not to lose your power is to keep the charger connected, in this way the battery will not be charged but u will not lose the power. again you need dell charger the universal only gives power but doesnot charge.
Best Regards
Well, you could bring it in to radio shack and have them check what type of tip you need, and then just buy a universal charger with that tip included.
