Question about Video Cameras
Given methods vary between devices..
The model I have, worked by creating a file called time.txt using say MS Notepad and copying to the "root" of the micro SD disk.
The file contained the current time is this format:-.
2011.03.31 14:42:30 Y
(Meaning date of 31st May 2011 Time 14.42 30 Secs)
This worked perfectly for me....
To REMOVE time stamping you apparently change the "Y" to "N" as follows:-
2011.03.31 14:42:30 N
Other versions of AV Recording Glasses require a similar text file called "timeset.txt" and I think the format required is just the numbers without colons or period punctuation......

can you make a step by step on how to do this or a video?
-Thanks
I did this but the wretched site lost it !!
You create a simple text file (say using MS Notepad)
consisting of a single line of date text infor in the format
2011.03.31 14:42:30 N
and save it on the SD Card as a file called:- time.txt
The last letter of the line is either Y or N for wherether you want the actual videos to be visibly timestamped..
The Sunglasses clock should start from that precise time, as soon as it recognises this file on an installed SD CARD..
N.B. Other versions of AV Recording Glasses require a similar text file called "timeset.txt" and I think the format required is just the numbers without colons or period punctuation......
My solution was just to put N in the time.txt file it worked and removed the time stamp
I followed your instructions and they didn't work. I looked in the product manual and I noticed that there wasn't a space between the time and the "N". After removing the space and taking a video, the timestamp went away! The pair I purchased are very picky, here is what was in my text file that made it work: 2013.06.11 10:00:00N
the first solotion works perfectly for the 720P 5MP 170' Wide Angle CMOS Outdoor Sports Glasses Camera + RC for Skiing / Cycling - Black

If you bought the Kogan (Australia) version of this sunglasses video camera you need SETTIME yyyy.mm.dd hr.min.se Y as the record format. Use Notepad to create the file and drop it onto the camera microSD as a peer to DCIM.

My camera requires the text file to called SetTime and uses the same format 2013-01-21 18:25:00

I just got the clear spy glasses, i been tryin to change the time and hide it like it said. but it goes straight to the time it was put on under Tag text document
it won't read the time.txt
it always show the Tag txt time
i even tried adding the N to it, no good
so i be removin the device, format the sd card
plug it back in and let it do it stuff and see where i can go from there
