SOURCE: 2003 Cadillac CTS - the car won't shift from park

sounds like you have a bad brkae light switch, which is located on the brake pedal assembly. a bad switch will not let you shift out of park and you will not have any brake lights as the car does not recognize that the pedal is being pushed and brakes engaged. easy to replace switch if you are handy, if not this is a inexpensive repair at any mechanic. hope this was helpful is so please rate 4 thumbs.

2006 CTS Engine light on.

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System, MIL Malfunction Indicator Lamp, CEL Check Engine Light.

My brake lights are off in my 2005 Cadillac CTS. Jiffy Lube says only the Dealer can change. Is he right?

stay away from dealers at all cost because it will cost you out the a--. sounds like the brake light switch usually connected to the brakepedal autozone can usually tell you where a part is located.

My brake lights went out on my 2006 cadillac cts. i checked the bulbs and the are fine. I located the fuse box under the back seat but have no clue which one to change.

If all the brake light went out at the same time, then i would look at the brake switch. this is located along the brake pedal somewhere. remove it and play with it and see if will get them going again. if you do get the lights to start working, replace the switch. good luck.

2006 Cadillac CTS brake lights out but bulbs are fine

Take it to any local repair shop.

The ABS Relay,is for the system pump motor, nothing to do with lighting circuits.

Check brake switch !

Having issues with my brakes.

Will probably be caused by either a wheel speed sensor or abs module fault.
