I have a RAZR.. i try to send a picture to someone and it eventually comes back and says "Error: Message could not be sent". That is not exactly very helpful. Anyone have any ideas? I have sent messages successfully to same person without pics so not a problem in general sending.... thanks!
If sending thu MMS or Multimedia Messaging, check ou carrier/service provider if they support this feature on your phone. If sending thru bluetooth, power off phone and take out battery for few seconds put the battery back in, power on and try sending. if does not work, reset the phone to its original manufacturer setting. No settings to see a pic in a text. Maybe he tried to send a pic with it but His phone failed to send it. I would suggest you have someone else send a pic in a message to you and see if it works.
This model not the best for doing & receiving pictures or texts. But I sometimes have issue above if someone has sent a message or a picture to me as part of a group message. I seem to have less issues if they send it to just me directly. Next time someone sends you one, text them back & ask them to send you pic/message seperately, not within a group & see if that helps
Well I have the same phone. And when someone sent me a picture it also sent me the password. So on your pic/video message inbox check and see if it says your password. Or maybe on your webalert inbox. Mine's been sent away for services at this time so I can't tell you exactly what to do. But hopefully this helps.
When you receive the message with id and password, it usually means that either your phone is not multimedia messaging compatible or your account is not provisioned with the actual multimedia messaging feature itself. If unable to send or receive a picture message (MMS), troubleshoot accordingly:
Verify MMS is being sent to an AT&T subscriber. If MMS message is being sent to someone other then an AT&T wireless services subscriber, verify that the carrier is supported.
Picture messaging settings are pre-configured on all devices purchased from AT&T. If the settings have been altered or if the device was not purchased from AT&T, validate picture message settings are properly configured.
Attempt to send an MMS again.

If problems occur, please perform the following troubleshooting steps:
I think what has happened is that someone sent you a pic and because you have not got it opperating on your service the provider has automatically generated a message telling you there was an attempt.
If you check with your provider I would guess that 8211 is an automatic provider code.
nothing to worry about and no need to respond
these setting are normally supplied by the provider.
You will need to contact them again and ask them to send you the WAP and GPRS settings.
These will come as 2 separate txt messages.
open each message and the phone should promt you to save the message.
save each message.
then go to your browser settings and set your provider as the default or prefered setting.( this should get internet working )
for the pics you will need to send a pic to yourself first to activate the settings between the phone and the network
Yes you will need to check with your provider if you have MMS available if not ask them to send you the settings or turn it on for you.
Once you have recieved the settings save them to your phone, turn your phone off then on and send a pic to yourself as this will then activate the settings between your phone and the provider
