How to update the lcd monitor - Toshiba Satellite C655S5085 Notebook

Sounds like driver related problem to me... use this software to update all of them: Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8 (especially monitor driver)

You don't really update the drivers for your monitor. If you want to update your video drivers. I'm guessing because it's a Compaq Presario PC that it uses Integrated Radeon graphics acceleration so to update those drivers go here. Once there you will need to select Integrated Motherboard Graphics in the first block. From there on I will need to know the exact model number of the Compaq PC to proceed.

yes the monitor bad , which means your lcd lamps gone ....

You do not need driver for the monitors otherwise I will be real busy downloading the drivers for 2-300 monitors I repair every year, you do need driver for the video card in your PC. The LCD monitor needs to be fed with 60Hz refesh rate set by your PC and the native resolution it needs.

There is no update for this monitor. You just have to mkae sure you have the correct video card driver install in your computer. Just use this monitor with another computer to find out if it is monitor or computer problem.

your lcd should be fine. but are you using a graphics card? or hade you updated your graphice drivers? check your computers manufacture website to get the latest updates, also try pressing the AUTO configuration button on the LCD.

I found in the folder of Hp the file that does the " UPDATES".
So, thanks for the offer to help me, but all is well now with me and the Hp UPDATES.

You need to get the inf file for your monitor to tell windows which monitor you have. did you get a cd with the monitor?
