Hi somisettiky, the laptop has a crystal eye icon on the desktop by default so you can take picture using it. if you have yahoo messenger, you can use that to as a webcam, same with skype or other video conferencing softwares.

guest, the crystal eye does not have a time delay shot be default, you may use a utility from acer to optimize the use of your mounted camera.

Was the webcam factory installed?

If so, find "My Computer" or, I guess, "Computer " in Twista, and double-click on it. The webcam is probably listed in devices you can open at the bottom of the list... double-click on it.

Alternately...

Start...
Run...
"msconf.exe"
<enter>

But of course, blista does not put the "run" command on your start menu by default, so you will have to manipulate the properties of your task bar to show the "run" command.

you probably either do not install it correctly ..or you have a virus that attacks your driver and make it unusable ..I suggest to reinstall the operating system or use the recovery partition or disk to do it ..format the C drive during the procedure so that you get rid of the bugs ..After that go to acer .com ..and under he download drivers download the correct ones after you select the model and the operation system ..After you finish the downloading ..just reinstall all drivers and will work ..

Step by step procedure on how to open my web cam on my eM350
With regard to your eMachines Netbook EM350, for you to open the web cam, you just need to click on Start then click All Programs, and you should see a software for Cam. Just click on it and you will be able to use it to capture still photos and videos.

In the event you wanted to use it for chatting like yahoo messenger, once you open the application (example: yahoo messenger), you should see your web cam available in the options.

I have an Acer Aspire 5735Z with CineCrystal, I can see the webcam but my laptop cannot pickup anything, saying there is no webcam, help me!
Go to www.acer.com > US > Support > Drivers > Put you model number in > Select your operating system (Windows 7 64-bit or other) > download the web cam driver and double click it to install. If this procedure does not work, you probably have a web cam failure for your built-in web cam. You can purchase a portable web cam and plug it into your USB port.

I have an acer aspire 5735z laptop webcam
Dear Sir,

Acer Aspire Model generally comes with a bison web cam driver.
To use the web cam search for an application that installed in program files.In windows Xp web cam can be used by double clicking camera icon present in my computer. If you are using windows vista or other operating system you need an camera application software,to use it. Without application software you can use your web camera only in messengers,for example yahoo messenger. If u had an yahoo messenger login and click on view my web cam,now you can see your face in your laptop.So first thing is search for an application software installed on your laptop.

acer has software installed to use the web cam. it is usually in the start menu. some computers that have web cams in order to use the have some sort of messenger service installed on them. the instant messenger service is what computer uses to access the cam.

YOU CAN USE THE WEB CAM IN ALL LIVE CHATTING APPLICATION.
First install the web cam drivers from the driver cd and then use it with chatting messenger (yahoo, msn etc.). you can use it as video recoder or picture capture devise.

We cam
well i have not seen it used in email,that would be a good trick,
but if you install a messenger program like, windows live, skype,yahoo messenger,or any one of a number of them,you can setup your web cam within them,you will also need a head set to be able to talk as well.
