The Panas usually have a menu option for this. Are you saying you can't find the menu, or it's not working when you get to the menu?

Can my Analog reciver Panasonic DMR-EH 75 v be converted to a digital reciever

I bought a set-top converter box from Dish Network, which will operate with the DMR-EH75V through the remote control cable that was provided with the recorder. It tunes in all the available digital channels and uses the RCA A/V cables to connect to IN1 on the back of the recorder. TVGOS is now provided through channel 2.1 (CBS) in our area and it also provides the time signal that keeps the recorder's clock updated. NOTE: ONLY the Dish Network boxes work with these functions. I've had occasional issues with the box after some period - a few weeks - it needs to be rebooted or reset to manual and then back to automatic (which causes it to reboot anyway.) Model no is DTV PAL PLUS.

I have a Motorola Cable Box, model DCT2222/1661. I'm trying to connect my Sny TV and a Panasonic DMR-EH75V. I don't understand the labeling on the back of the cable box.

The following connections should be made:

1) Connect a cable from your wall receptacle to the RF IN on the back of your Panasonic unit..
2) Connect a cable from the RF OUT on your Motorola Cable Box to the RF IN on the back of your TV.
3) On the back of your DMR-EH75V there is a set of connections labelled L & R AUDIO OUT as well as VIDEO OUT. Run a cable (this was supplied with your Panasonic unit) from those conections to the connections labelled AUDIO IN R & L and VIDEO IN.
4) On the back of the Panasonic unit is a connection labelled RF OUT. Connect that to the RF IN on your Motorola unit.
5) On the back of the Motorola unit are connections labelled AUDIO OUT R & L and VIDEO. Connect a cable from there to the connection on your Panasonic labelled IN3 R AUDIO L amd VIDEO.
6) Attach all power cables. You can then follow your Panasonic manual to chose the correct settings depending on what you want to do.

All of the cables that you need should have been supplied with your units. They should be labelled AUDIO L & R and VIDEO for both IN and OUT. In case you do not have your manuals handy the following links will take you to copies you can download. Your Panasonic manual can be found here:

The manual for your DCT2222 is not on the web but the manual for the DCT2000 will work as the connections are the same. Use this URL:

DMR-EH75V DVD Recorder

ekimt,

Yes, it would not recognize any type of disc. The disc icon was always present on the display even though no disc was inserted. Also, mine went out while recording from HDD to DVD. Panasonic had mine repaired in two business days and it' s working great.

Panasonic DMR-EH75VS

On the EH50, you have to go into Setup Display Front Display and change it to Bright or Dim. Automatic turns it off when power is off
